"So, would you like to meet my friends and we can start to help you?" Steve asked and you shrugged, lowering your legs.

When the door suddenly opened you immediately curled up again, flinching violently.

"Tony!" Steve exclaimed, and 'Tony' winced slightly.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said quietly. You stared at him, not understanding how you recognize him.

"'Ony?" You murmured, tilting your head to the side slightly.

"Yeah, I'm Tony. What's your name?" He asked, moving to stand beside Steve.

"Dunno, ma'be (y/n)?" You answered, looking at Steve.

"If you like (y/n) that can be your name, do you like it?" Steve asked and you nodded. "(y/n) it is then,"

"You going to bring (y/p) to meet the rest?" Tony asked and Steve nodded, holding his hand out to you.

"Would you like to walk or be carried?"

You weren't used to making decisions, and you hated being dependent so being carried was out of the question.

But then again, you didn't want to walk...

You reached out your hand, taking his while moving on your knees to shuffle into his lap.

"Looks like you gained (y/p) trust," Tony stated as Steve moved his arms so one was under your knees and the other around your shoulders before standing.

You squeaked, quickly linking your arms around his neck in fear you'll fall like last time.

"I got you this time, don't worry." Steve assured you as he followed Tony.

You couldn't help but look around as the three of you went down hall after hall; all the technology and colours surrounding you was fairly interesting.

"S'eve," You whispered, loud enough that his eyes moved onto yours. "You s'rong."

"Yeah, I'm pretty strong." Steve said with a fond smile. It's not like you knew what a fond smile was, so you just stared back, making him chuckle as he looked forward again.

A faint murmur of multiple voices grew louder as Steve continued down the hall.

Tony glanced back, moving his eyebrows up and down making you giggle.

You leaned into Steve with a whimper as you saw four people sitting, one of them was just as big, if not bigger than Steve.

"Remember, they're nice and want to help." Steve said as he sat down, keeping you on his lap.

You watched as Tony sat down beside Steve, then pried your eyes to look at the other four.

"That's Bruce, Clint, Natasha and Thor." Tony said, pointing to each of the people.

"Bru, 'Lint, 'Asha, 'Or."

You turned and burrowed into Steve's chest when three of them laughed quietly. You felt the familiar feeling of wanting to cry, but you didn't, instead gripping onto Steve.

"Look what you did," Steve said disapprovingly, rubbing your back.

"I laughed because it was cute," One of them defended as you closed your eyes to prevent the tears from coming out.

"(y/p) is sensitive, even I know that." Tony said.

You felt someone touch your leg, and instinctively you pulled away, staring at the lady with wide eyes.

"It's okay, honey." She said gently.

You didn't know what, but something about her made you want her to hold you.

As if being able to read minds, she held her arms out to you. Looking back at Steve, you hesitated, slightly leaning towards the lady. When Steve nodded, you let go of Steve and allowed her to take you in her arms.

"Oh my, aren't you light." She murmured, arm under your bum to support you as her other arm moved soothingly across your back. Your arms hung loosely around her neck, your cheek on her shoulder while you studied the man with curly hair and glasses.

"Must be starving, I'll get (y/p) some food." Your eyes trailed after Steve, becoming slightly uncertain when he went out of sight.

"Are you hungry?" Natasha asked, running her hand through your hair. You nodded slightly, starting to feel drowsy.

"You - you makin' me sweepy," You yawned, bringing your fist to rub your eyes.

"(y/n), can you tell me how long you were with the mean people?" Tony asked, reaching to grab his tablet.

"Dunno," You sighed.

"Do you remember what they did to you?" Bruce - if you remembered right - asked.

"Dey use t'ings dat made me hur' an' if I crwy den dey hur' me more."

You watched with heavy eyes as Tony stood with his tablet, moving in front of you.

"Can I see your finger?" He asked quietly. You nodded, too tired to actually move your hand again so he lightly grabbed your finger and placed it on the screen.

You watched a blue line move across the screen twice before he let go and his tablet dinged as the screen changed.

"(y/n) (y/l/n), 23...went missing September of 2009 when family was murdered..."

"LET ME GO! I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE! I WANNA GO BACK HOME-"

"WILL YOU BE QUIET ALREADY?" The guard snapped and you flinched, not knowing why you started to tear up just from being yelled at.

You quickly moved back when two guards came towards you.

"N-no..."

They grabbed your biceps roughly, almost dragging you down the hall into the very last room.

You winced as they pushed you in the chair, strapping you in. When they took a couple steps back, a whirring noise sounded and you panicked.

Your body jerked violently when you were zapped, screaming out in pain.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. It's okay, you're okay."

No it was most certainly not okay, you thought. You were breathing heavy as tears streamed down your face. Sobs racked your body as you panicked, pushing against the person holding you to the point where you had to be set down on the floor.

You scooted back as far as you could, tensing up when your back hit the wall.

You cried more when you felt the familiar feeling of your privates soaked, knowing you unwillingly wet yourself.

"I sowwy! I no wanna go back! I be good! I p'omise!" You sobbed, curling up when someone kneeled in front of you.

"Hey, (y/n) it's Steve. Remember Steve?"

"S'evie!" You launched yourself forward, surprising yourself.

Since when did you act like that?

"I got you, you're safe." Steve said calmly, hugging you flush against him as he held you.

It took him several minutes to calm you down, assuring you that you were safe.

When you were finally calmed down, he picked you up and went over to the couch, keeping you on his lap whilst grabbing the food he got.

The 'adults' talked while you silently munched on the snacks, mind whirling of thoughts.

You knew you were actually safe now.

You knew you weren't going back.

You knew you were starving.

You knew they wanted to help.

You knew that you were finally going to be okay again.
