I Do - Oikawa - 🖤

"It's almost time..." you say to yourself. Looking around the church, you nod. Everything is in place and perfect.

As the last few guests trickle in, you go stand in your spot. You didn't have much you needed to do for this part. After so many days of planning, it was finally the day.

The wedding.

You watched silently as the groom went to his place. Some music started and, when cued, everyone did their thing. Bridesmaids led the way, followed but the maid of honor, and lastly the bride.

When everyone was in their spot, the priest started his speech.

Not even thirty seconds in, you zoned out, contemplating how you got here.

You'd known Oikawa Toru since middle school, when you almost beat him up for nearly hitting your cousin, Kageyama. Since then, you'd become friends with Iwaizumi Hajime and today's groom, Oikawa himself.

Various memories circle through your head.

The day the three of you met in your last year of middle school...

The first day of high school, when Oikawa dragged you along to meet his new volleyball team...

The time both boys visited you in the hospital when you broke your leg falling downstairs... (Iwa called you a clutz and Oikawa was dramatic about you dying)

The day you introduced them to your best friend, B/F/N...

The day you realized how you really felt about Oikawa...

So many years, so many memories.

You were finally snapped back into the moment when you heard Oikawa say "I do."

Holding back tears, you watched the priest ask, "And do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Feeling the warm tears start to drip, you listen as B/F/N's voice rings clearly through the air.

"I do."

As your long-time crush and best friend for even longer kissed, you felt someone touch your arm.

"He'll be happy," Iwaizumi said with a strained smile.

You nod, giving up on stopping your tears.
