Jeongyeon : "Saying just a hello isn't hard. Or is it?"

Her voice was light but loud enough for Nayeon to hear it.

She can't, she can't afford to look at that face again, those pupils, cause when she look at them, she read the taller Korean's heart. A heart which screams just love for her.

Instead of responding she turn the knob open the door wide open and took a step but the words which rang in her ear again by Jeongyeon made her stop at her spot.

Jeongyeon : "We are partners, you can't ignore me like this forever. Let's... let's talk about work"

Suppressing every question in her heart, suppressing every feeling towards the older one, Jeongyeon prioritized her work, and Nayeon's feelings.

Turning her heels, nayeon awkwardly sat in front of Jeongyeon. The large table doing a great work for not letting their skin come in contact. Behaving like a border between to countries.

Jeongyeon : "Joshua and his team will manage the artistic factor, is anything you are assigning your team with?"

The way Jeongyeon fluently talked to Nayeon, like they are just business partners, nothing more, nothing less, but deep down in their hearts that bacteria of love which started spreading like a virus is giving them so much of pain.

Pushing her all "waste" thoughts away Nayeon dived into the conversation about the business. They talked and talked about their present, about their future, but the past which is buried none of them got the guts to bring it.

Nayeon hummed and picked her phone which is laying on the table, she then proceeded towards to pick her notepad when she heard Jeongyeon speaking again, but this time not related to their profession.

Jeongyeon : "Did you forget everything?"

Nayeon intentionally connected that comment to their work.

Nayeon : "No, I remember, I'll ask Jieun unnie to make the set ready as soon as it could be, the first scene will be shooting in a room with few posters, singer Jungkook will start, the room will be b--"

Jeongyeon : "You are well aware Nabong, I'm not talking about it"

Nabong, the name which Jeongyeon gave to Nayeon, a name one loves to call and the other loves to hear. Right now Nayeon is hating that after so many years Jeongyeon still managed to know her so badly.

Nayeon : "I'm not, Chan is waiting for me. I need to go"

Jeongyeon : "I to waited for you! For more than that man. You can't just leave me without even talking to me"

Nayeon : "We are now just business partners, nothing more, nothing less"

Jeongyeon : "Now? Yes we are. But what about past? We were best friends. Right? Then why are you acting like total stranger towards me, nabong"

Nayeon : "Nayeon"

Jeongyeon : "I will never call you that"

Nayeon : "I'm married"

Jeongyeon is aware about the fact on the moment but still when Nayeon said it hurts her more.

Jeongyeon : "I'm aware, and... I don't think there's any loss in being friends"

Yes, absolutely there's no loss in just being friends, but the irony lies here, their brain will keep forcing them to be JUST friends while their heart will keep forcing them to be more than friends, and in the battle of heart and brain they will loose themselves. And both are well aware about this fact, especially Jeongyeon. But still she choose to be with Nayeon, though it requires a sacrifice which is losing herself.

Nayeon : "I'll send Chanyeol for tomorrows work. I'm taking leave"

Nayeon started walking towards the door but Jeongyeon was fast enough to grab her wrist and pull her inside closing the door.

Nayeon : "Jeongyeon..."

Jeongyeon : "I'm not desperate for you, but I just want few answers, answer for breaking your promise, answer for leaving all of us without any proper reason, answer for kissing me that night if you don't mean it, it's already long enough for keep me waiting, your man can wait for few more minutes, but your woman already lost her patience years ago"

The words 'your woman' make Nayeon widen her eyes a bit, she know, she is well aware about this side of Jeongyeon.

Pushing Jeongyeon away Nayeon finally opened the door.

Jeongyeon : "I don't know what's with you. Just I want to say a thing, you left your best friend behind, but do you still remember your other friends? They to misses you till this date. Talk to them. If you want take their number from the counter."

With that Jeongyeon started collecting her things. Nayeon to missed them, even she miss this tall Korean woman more than them. But sometimes it's better to miss than being close to. And Nayeon is well aware about the fact of how good Jeongyeon is when its comes to friendship. She's good at almost everything but a professional in friendship.

Nayeon : "Chan will come tomorrow around eleven"

Jeongyeon : "I'm not free at eleven"

She replied not even lifting her head up.

Nayeon : "Then when are you?"

Jeongyeon : "When you are!"

Nayeon : "I'm not for the whole week"

Jeongyeon : "Then we will discuss further things after this week"

Nayeon : "Don't be foolish, we have to start the production from this Saturday"

Jeongyeon : "Then end the deal"

Nayeon : "Are you out of your mind Jeongyeon, Chan will arrive here at one."

With that Nayeon left not in the mood to pick another lie filled arguement with Jeongyeon.

'Chan? Earlier you had Jeong, now you got Chan. You surely is something Im'

The thoughts in her head when became tears she herself didn't understand, it's literally frustrating for her, for both of them.

She cried and cried, in the meeting room like it's a place to cry. The memories of them together is still as fresh in her head as honey, how can it get rotten?

Those foolish things in town, totally forgetting their rich status and doing things which include just fun, those small teasings, the smiles and laughter they had shared, it isn't something which they can forget. Cause according to them the best of their life was when they were younger, when they were with each other.
