The trio had found the last skiff waiting outside the fallen outpost and had started making their way back to The Fright Zone. Catra barely spared a glance in Harley's direction for the entire journey but Harley tried to pay it no mind.
Not only had Harley lost her precious laptop but she was confused. Was Catra really willing to murder someone, even if they were the Queen of the Rebellion?
Double Trouble had noticed the way the two of them refused to look at each other and appeared at Harley's side, an arm draped over her shoulders, "what's wrong, darling? You and the Kitten over there don't seem very happy with each other,"
"It's nothing, Double Trouble," Harley sighed, glancing at Catra who was sat at one of the windows and turned away as she noticed Harley, "we just had a disagreement, is all... And Catra doesn't trust me, still,"
They too glanced back at Catra and tilted their head before spinning back around to give their attention to Harley, "Well she knows you're not a princess, at least. I made sure of that,"
"What do you mean?"
"Darling, you were the first thing she asked about earlier! She said to me, 'Double Trouble, have you heard the Rebel Princesses talking about a Princess Harley at all? And also, how do you get your hair to look so flawless all the time? You're perfect!'" They laughed and Harley nodded contemplatively, sparing another glance at Catra.
"Thanks, Double Trouble," Harley smiled, nudging them with her elbow and patting their shoulder.
They brushed her off and got to their feet with a dramatic flourish, "Now promise me you two will make amends, your friction is really bringing me down! Don't get me wrong, I love how despondent you look, but it's killing the mood-- the pathos if it takes you"
Harley chuckled and nodded, watching them as they swept to the other side of the skiff, gazing out over sands just outside The Fright Zone and directing the ship's wheel.
Double Trouble steered the skiff onto one of the balconies and called out to Catra, "Here's your stop, Kitten,"
The skiff slowed to a halt and Double Trouble hopped off the skiff, followed closely by Catra but Harley lagged behind, hugging the satchel at her side tightly as she reached into it and produced Catra's sticky note.
"What are you going to tell your boss about all his shiny new bots getting blown up?" Double Trouble continued, offering a hand to Catra to help her down and then one to Harley.
Catra sighed, her shoulders sagging, "I'm going to say 'you're welcome for testing them before we moved ahead with our big plan, obviously they were garbage,'"
Catra let out an awkward laugh as Harley pushed past her, tucking the sticky note neatly back into her bag and Double Trouble tilted their head again but Harley didn't catch it as she walked towards the stairway leading deeper into The Fright Zone.
Harley heard the two talking away and turned around to find Catra glaring at the ground, her jaw taut as she placed a sack of coins into Double Trouble's outstretched hands.
"Marvelous! And don't worry, darling, I'll keep a better eye on Glimmer. Who knew she was so powerful?"
"Heh. Whatever. If she hadn't used Adora as bait," Catra smirked and Harley listened in, slowing her footsteps.
"Oh yes, how devious! I'd assumed she was all glitter, no grit!"
"Yeah, that was unexpected..." Catra hummed, turning away quickly before her eyes widened and she turned back to Double Trouble resolutely, "And then she showed up alone. Looks like the friendship might have a few cracks, huh? Would be a shame if someone were there to take advantage of them,"
