Chapter 5

"Dude! Is that Uncle Sero??" Ichika tried to whisper. Instead, it was more of a hiss - louder than intended, too.
Eyes shooting over, he gave them both a cheery wave. Kaji waved half-heartedly back, turning away and looking at the competition. The boy figured that Sero was probably a teacher now, having cut down his time for hero work only a few weeks ago.

The air was cold as it flowed through his throat and into his lungs, the chilled wind brushing over his skin. From his fire quirk, he was more sensitive to the cooler temperatures, so he was shivering a bit. January wasn't his favourite time of the year. It was in the middle of winter - hence his dislike for the month. Still, he was strong enough to ignore his numbing fingertips.

"Everyone here looks good," She mumbled, wide eyed as she scanned each person.
He chuckled to himself "Yeah, they look it. Doesn't mean that they are,"
Humming, she replied "True..." She was quiet for a moment before speaking again, leaning into his side "Hey, that girl is looking at you,"
"Hm?" He gazed down at her before following her eye line.

Upon looking in that general direction, his sight came across a girl with navy blue hair paired with cherry red eyes. She glanced over his shoulder at him shortly, catching his eyes and lingering. Ew, what an awful attempt at flirting.

He raised his brows threateningly, the rest of his face appearing unbothered.
"Go tell her i'm not interested," He grumbled, turning away from the staring girl.
She let out an offended scoff "Why do i have to do it? Besides, if i had to tell everyone who stared at you with heart eyes that you're not interested, i wouldn't get a break,"
"I mean, you're the one who's been begging me to ask out Izume for the past.. i don't know, 4 months?" He shook his head "If i end up dating another girl, that's not gonna happen,"

Kaji smirked, knowing exactly how to get her to do it. While her constant shipping was annoying, he could take advantage of it. Her brows furrowed in insult "Oh come on, dude," She blinked, waiting for him to say anything else. When he didn't, she just rolled her eyes "Fine,"

Lifting her hands to cup around her mouth, she directed her shouting.
"He's not interested, bitch, he's got a girlfriend!" She called out to the girl.
Kaji slapped her on the arm and she let out a yelp "I don't have a girlfriend! And don't be so rude about it,"
"You told me to tell them, so i did," She stuck out her tongue teasingly.

He just tutted, narrowing his eyes as he stared ahead. When she saw his attitude she pouted, elbowing him in the side "Stop being moody, it's the entrance exam! You were so excited in September,"
"Yeah, well, my dads gotten worse. Pretty sure he hates me," He mumbled and Ichika's pout shifted into a proper frown.
"He doesn't, i promise," She handed him a forced smile.
He didn't smile back, only patting her on the head "Thanks,"

Head butting his side, her eyes scanned around once more before her hungry gaze laid upon someone else.
"Ugh, he's hot. I hope he's my teacher," She whined, leaning into her best friend who simply groaned before spotting the man she was drooling over.

A man with skin ever so slightly wrinkled - not necessarily old looking, but enough creases to know he's not in his 30's anymore. Long black hair fell just below his shoulders, grey eyes lazily hanging open. It wasn't hard to know who he was. He must've been spectating or something... perhaps he still worked at UA.

"Oh, God, no!" He became panicked "That's Aizawa-" He was cut off.
"Mmmm, what else can you tell me about him?" She didn't let him leave her sight as she watched him from afar.
"He's old as fuck, dude. Like... 57 or something," Cringing, he watched as her heart eyes enlarged.
"Hot."
"No! He taught our fucking parents!"

Upon hearing that, her head spun around to look up at him "What?"
"Aizawa taught my dad and your mum! He was their homeroom- i give up," He slapped a palm to his forehead as she let out a giggle.
"You're gonna have to show me some pictures of Mr. Todoroki-chan when he was our age, i hope Aizawa is in those, as well." She smirked, daydreaming. He didn't even want to know what was going through that kind of hers "I bet your dad was hot then, too."
"Ichika! Jesus Christ!" He spat, embarrassed since everyone around could hear her.
