Marinette stared at herself in the mirror. it seemed to become a thing she did every morning before she left for school. she would stare at herself with the same pained expression on her face.

she took in her appearance. she wore a black crop hoodie with white ripped jeans. she also let her hair down.

she checked the time. she had 10 minutes to get to school. she would make it on time, this she knew. in fact, if she left now she could make it early and get into the classroom before everyone else came in.

"ready to go Tikki?" she asked the kwami, her voice dry but she still tried to smile.

Tikki always observed Marinette. ever since her friends pretty much abandoned her Marinette just had a sad aura especially when she felt alone.

Tikki hated to see her friend like this. Marinette only seemed to be happier if she was with Luka, Kagami or even Chloe. Marinette and Chloe both have a dislike for Lila which caused them to become closer funny enough.

Chloe gave up with Adrien especially when she saw that he was around Lila too much for her liking. she also didn't like that he couldn't see through Lial's lies, acting as stupid as everyone else.

at least she still has some people... Tikki thought to herself before nodding at Marinette and flying into her bag.

Marinette put her hood up and left the house after saying goodbye to her parents

Marinette watched as her classmates walked into the classroom. Lila in front of the others while they practically followed her.

They act like a bunch of puppies. Marinette thought to herself in disgust as she listened to Lila telling another one of her ridiculous stories and the others clearly believing her.

however, she perked up when she noticed Chloe. Chloe also noticed her, smiled, walked to the back of the classroom, and sat next to her.

"her Mari. how are you doing today?" Chloe asked as she set her bag down beside her.

"better now your here I guess. I don;lt think I could have a repeat of yesterday" Marinette replied. Chloe looked confused. she wasn't in school yesterday so Marinette was all on her own so she was curious about what Marinette meant.

"What happened yesterday?" she asked ignoring the laughs of the others that were made by whatever Lila said.

Marinette shuddered a little and instinctively held her right arm as she recalled yesterdays events.

Yesterday

Marinette walked into class a bit late. to her dismay, most people were already in the classroom. when she walked in she was greeted with glares from them. she noticed a crying Lila in Alya's arms with Adrien smoothing her back. she already knew from that moment that Lila had told another lie about her which is no surprise. it's been 7 months.

Marinette made her way to her seat only to be tripped as she walked up the steps.

she was so shocked that she didn't;t think about trying to stop the fall. she fell on her side and hit her arm really hard.

she heard the laughter of her other classmates as she got herself back up. she took in a deep breath to keep herself from reacting. if she does, they'll use it against her for whatever reason they have.

she continued to walk to her seat trying to ignore them but someone grabbed her wrist in a tight grip.

Alya

"Marinette what the hell is wrong with you!?" ALya yelled at her

"what did I do this time?" Marinette asked with a frown trying to free her wrist. this only made Alya's grip tighter.

"don't act dumb with me. you called Lila and Ugly hoe and pushed her down the stairs before class and now she has a bad cut on her knee and elbow"

Marinette fought the urge to roll her eyes at what she was hearing. she didn't have time to deal with this. her art was painful from the fall and Alya's grip on her wrist was nearly becoming just as bad.

"I never called her anything, nor did I pushed her down any stairs. I was literally the last one to come into school today so how could I have done-" she was cut off by shoving Marinette's wrist away from her and gave her a disgusted and threatening look as she moved closer to her. too close for her liking.

"you come close to Lila again or do anything that will cause her harm, you will be sorry" she threatened to give her one last shove - which Marinette was able to keep her balance this time- before going back to comfort Lila.

Marinette just kept her head down not daring to look at anyone nor did she say another word. she was angry but couldn't;t do anything about it. she just wished Chloe was around...

Present

"what the f- how dare they" Chloe growled as she was about to stand up but she got pulled down by Marinette.

"don't bother Chlo. no matter what I or you do, they'll use it to make us look even worse because they're Lila's followers.

"but it's not fair Marinette. let me see your arm." Chloe demanded. Marinette hesitated, pulling her arm back.

"Marinette," Chloe said sternly. Marinette sighed. she knew she couldn't get away from this so she gave up and rolled up her sleeve.

Chloe gasped at the dark bruise she saw sitting on her arm. Marinette quickly rolled her sleeve back down.

"does it hurt?" she asked. Marinette shook her head.

"no, not really. it's bearable"

"you shouldn't have to bear with it, to begin with, Marinette. you know you really should tell the headmaster about all this"

"what's the point. Lila already has most of the teachers wrapped around her tiny little finger. she'll obviously find a way to make me look like the liar."

Chloe could feel her friends mood begin to decrease so she decided to drop the subject.

"so, how was patrol last night then" she whispered. Marinette smiled at the blonde and they continue to whisper amongst themselves.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it was coming close to the end of the day and Marinette had science. Chloe said that she would wait for her by the door while she got her books from her locker.

when Marinette finally got there, she froze and stared at her vandalized locker.

she looked at the red sentence on her door.

'BULLIES ARE THE ONES WHO SUFFER IN THE END'

she suddenly felt a little more annoyed and sick to her stomach. she wondered how someone could get away with doing this. but she didn't have the time to think about that at all.

she just turned her heel and left the building.
