Justice Is Served

Chapter 3

When Marinette walked into school the next day there was a crowd around the locker area. Marinette just pulled her hood up and continued to walk to the classroom.

her path was suddenly blocked by Adrien who had a look of disappointment on his face.

"Marinette, how could you?" he asked in disbelief.

"How could I what? could you guys start telling me what you think I did instead of me having to guess?" she replied. she didn't want to deal with whatever lies Lila made up about her this early in the morning.

at that moment Alya marched over to her, grabbed her arm where her bruise was causing her to flinch.

Alya dragged her to where everyone else was standing.

"care to explain this?" Alya growled pointing to what seemed to be Lila's locker. 

Marinette looked up and stared in shock.

the locker was covered with pictures of Lila with horrible comments written on them. 

then Alya opened the locker and that's when she noticed the foam that was dripping out of the locker which seemed to have also ruined whatever books were in there.

to her right, Lila was crying in Kim's arms.

"w-why do you hate me Marinette? all I've tried to do is befriend switch you and you just bully me!" she wailed, her fake tears falling even more.

"I never did anything! seriously Lila your going t go as far as vandalise your own locker, ruin your own books, make comments about yourself and then turn it all on me? you've got issues!" Marinette replied angrily. she's really pushing it.

"your the one with issues dudette," Nino said shaking his head

"Lila's always nice to everyone, even you when you don't deserve her kindness" Rose commented

"How dare you accuse Lila of damaging her own stuff"

"bully!"

"no one likes you!"

"leave Lila alone"

"you're the whore!"

"Liar!"

"stop making Lila suffer just because your jealous that she's a better best friend than you could ever be"

that last me came from Alya. that one did sting because she used to be Alya's best friend. 

"The real question is why you guys believe Lila's lies! her crying is fake! everything she does and says is fake! you guys are just too bloody blind to see that she-"

a slapping sound echoed the area causing everyone to go silent.

Marinette's face was turned aside and her hand reached to hold her face.

Alya had slapped her.

"wh-" Marinette could feel the tears start to make their way up. the slap was a powerful one.

"you don't get to talk about Lila as if you know her. you've been nothing but a bitch to her and she still tries to be your friend! Lila isn't the liar or the fake. you are"

Everyone began to leave. Alya gave Marinette one last dark look before going over to Lila and walking the crying girl to class. 

Adrien was the only one remaining.

"I really didn't expect this from you Marinette"

Marinette glared at him as a tear rolled down her face"
