A boy in his middle school uniform anxiously fiddled his fingers with the straps that were attached to his yellow school bag, standing in front of the Aldera Junior High on his first day.
He was feeling very anxious to go to that school, worried that he will be going there with Kacchan and his friends, a bully that bullies him for being quirkless with a dream of being a hero.
His once vibrant emerald eyes went dark in worry and downs, keeping his flat lips curled a bit, darting his gaze on the ground nervously. 'What do I do? Kacchan goes there too and he's gonna harass me with his friends again...'
A mop-headed boy with his naturally uncombed fluffy hair fiddled his fingers, feeling troubled to have to be faced the kind of situation in his every-day-life from now on.
Although he was also partly excited to meet some new people who might accept him, only if he was in luck.
A young student named Izuku ambled on his way to the entrance of Junior High.
Midoriya was thorough alone in his elementary school years because that girl, who stood up for him and became his new friend, was attending a different school.
Wherefore he had no chance to interact with her.
Although he went to the same playground where they had encountered frequently in Izuku's hope that they would meet up again and keep playing.
Instead of being left alone with his bully, Kacchan.
Regardless Kacchan has become a worse bully in the last two years of elementary school.
It was to be expected to get a lot worse bullying and harassment in middle school.
As a child, Midoriya would frequently walk home alone with a gloomy expression on his face, his brows would curl, quivering lip, his head drooping low, his hair shadowing his teary eyes, a hero figurine in each of his hands after he waited for many hours at the same playground.
But she wasn't there.
And he was alone.
Inko would see him in such a state, she would instantly comfort him and let him watch some superhero movies to cheer him up.
Yet she tried, her son wouldn't still cheer up about not getting to see a girl named N/N.
Which he hoped to be his new friend despite Kacchan became a bully.
Eventually, Izuku's mother started to feel more guilty for being a mother that didn't give her child a blessed quirk that caused her of being continually bullied directly to her son.
Worse, that he didn't have a friend that accepted him as quirkless.
Whenever he had tried to make friends, they all teased him for something he didn't share in common with them.
Notwithstanding being bullied and harassed, Midoriya was still determined his goals and didn't give up!
The mother was relieved, for his strength and optimism, and worried for his safety and well-being to deal with the continuous bully.
No matter what, she still supported him and put her faith in her son.
Presently, he grew up to visit Aldera Junior High.
"Oi, shitty nerd! Stop spacing out!"
Izuku bounced back to reality, realizing he was already sitting in his classroom. 'I could've sworn that Kacchan called out to me...?'
His fingers were clutching on his school bag on his desk, seeing the teacher and classmates staring expectantly at him. 'Oh! It's my turn to introduce myself!'
The quiet snickerings were in the background, laughing at a classmate who had spaced out and embarrassed himself.
The greenette-haired boy instantly felt abashed as he stood up. "Oh! So- Sorry, um...! My- My name is Midoriya Izuku, a- and my hobby is..."
"... collecting information of qu- quirks, and I want to be..." Midoriya's worried gaze flashed at the familiar-haired bully.
'Kacchan just gave me a funny look! He knows that I want to be a hero...!'
"I- I don't ha- have a quirk..." The freckled boy stammered lightly. "But— But I want to help out and save people in the future! S- Something like getting into a hero course!"
The words spread like wildfire, classmates surrounding him started to murmur.
"Oh my god... did you hear that? Midoriya-kun is quirkless... and he wants to get into a hero course?!"
"I wonder how is he going to save people in the future when he's quirkless? He has no chance of surviving his whole life without getting into villains incidents! Bhahaha!"
"Wow! He has some confidence but he sure is crazy to believe that he's able to save people while having no quirk and getting into a hero course!"
"Look at him! He's scrawny and weak! Even worse, he's quirkless! He can be an easy target for villains and get finished by them! He's no match for a hero! What a weirdo—!"
"That's enough for now! Silence!" The teacher commanded, shutting down the whispers in the room. "Thank you, Midoriya, you may sit down."
The greenette-haired boy nodded then sat down stiffly, gripping his schoolbag tensely. 'Well... that went as expected...'
The noise of the chair's legs scraping on the floor paid Midoriya no mind.
"My name is L/N Y/N, hobby is playing arcades and cook. My quirk is Toxic Waste." The voice spoke up in a nonchalant tone, "Depends on what kind of toxicity I eat. There are something involved with my physicality and whatsoever."
Izuku's heart leaped after hearing that voice. He immediately got curious about whose voice that belonged to.
"And, what do you aim for? With that quirk?" A boy cheekily taunted L/N.
"No comment." The girl responded dryly.
"Thank you, you may sit down." The glasses teacher bowed lightly then faced the next student.
In the meantime, the boy identified Midoriya restlessly glimpsed at the person behind him, attempting to go by unnoticed. 'Gotta be careful!'
His clammy palms grazed upon the rough fabric of his schoolbag anxiously.
Once he managed to pass a mere flash at a person named L/N sitting behind him, seeing the divine S/C skin-colored girl paying attention to her desk neighbor's introduction.
His face paled as his heart fluttered and avoided her altogether, unable to believe to witness the presence in front of him after a while.
