Asri took a deep happy breath as she swam through her tiny village. She had completed almost all of her chores for the day, and now there was only one job left.
"Time to check in on Luca" Asri muttered to herself after checking the sun's position above the water surface.
"Ah! No no no no no! Fish out of the barn! Fish out of the barn! Ah! Mom's going to kill me!" She heard a panicked yell coming from up ahead.
Asri chuckled a bit.
"Aaaand he let the fish get out of the barn. Again" she said to herself as she swam towards the commotion.
She quickly moved out of the way as a fish barreled past her with Luca in hot pursuit. The young sea monster ended up crashing into his older sister.
"Ah! Asri! I, uh, uh, I-" he started to say before Asri put a hand up, making Luca go quiet.
"You let the fish get out of the barn and are now trying to get them all back" Asri said as she put her hands on her hips while an amused smile made it's way to her lips.
Luca rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Yeah, that's what happened" he admitted.
Asri sighed as she let her hands drop.
"Well, let's get to work then" Asri said before she gave a sharp flick of her tail.
The action resulted in her flying through the water. Luca watched her go before he grabbed his herding stick.
Out of the entire Paguro family, Asri was the fastest, making her the go-to choice for rounding things up again, like Luca's fish.
Eventually, after getting all of the fish round up, the two siblings worked together to get their fish off to a new underwater pasture.
"Let me know if you need anything. Anything at all. Anyone? Okay then" Luca called.
He sat down on a rock while Asri circled around the area, making sure nothing was going to sneak up on them. She suddenly heard Luca gasp, and turned around to see him staring at something.
"Hey Asri, come and check this out" she heard Luca say.
"What is it?" She said as she swam over to her little brother.
She noticed a strange round object. It had a shiny surface and had numbers and arrows inside of it.
"What is that?" She questioned softly.
When she didn't hear Luca reply, she turned towards where he was, only to find her little brother was nowhere to be seen.
"Luca?" Asri asked before she noticed his head pop up out of the sea grass.
He reached his webbed hands towards the weird object and grabbed it, pulling it towards him.
"It feels...smooth" he said.
Asri reached a hand over and felt the weird round object. Luca was right.
It did feel pretty smooth.
The object had been very quiet this entire time, so both Luca and Asri jumped when the object made a loud ringing noise. Luca even fumbled a bit with the thing until it went quiet.
He ran a hand over the smooth surface again before his sister caught his attention.
"Hey Luca! Look at this" Asri called.
Luca swam over to see her holding a card. It had a weird reflected image of a town on it.
"These things came from the surface world" Asri breathed, looking up towards the surface of the water.
