I walked under the warm, cloudy sky. I tried to ignore the ring in the sky above. The busy cars went along their way as they usually did. However, I was troubled. Two weeks had gone by and no one had seen or heard from Kai.
Where could he be? I wondered.
The doors to card capital slid open. Expectedly, I found Misaki, Shingo, Naoki, Kamui, Reiji and Eiji inside the shop. I frowned a little.
"Still no Kai?" I asked softly.
"No," Kamui answered, "But he'll show up soon, bro, I know it."
"Yeah, bro," Reiji added.
Eiji echoed, "Yeah, bro."
I sighed, shaking my head as I blinked back tears.
Naoki suddenly piped from the back as he finished revising his deck.
"Let's go kick some butt and fight the reverse! Who's with me!" He roared, passion flaring in his voice.
Misaki nodded, holding her deck close to her heart as she closed her eyes and bowed her head.
Shingo nodded proudly.
I agreed hesitantly. "Alright," I murmured.
Kamui nodded. "Let's do this!" he cried enthusiastically.
Reiji and Eiji echoed Kamui, "L-D-T, yo!"
I smiled contently for a moment, the thought of Kai creeping into my mind again.
Naoki led the way, bickering with Kamui. I followed behind, drowning in the thought of Kai.
"Come back to me, Kai," I whispered. "Come back."
