The End; Miwa

I was walking home from Card Capital. My house was not far away. Albeit, the clouds reigned over the earth, covering the blackened sky. I watched them. I was troubled.

"It doesn't feel right," I mumbled. "I think someone's following me."

The sun lurked through the clouds, the emanating light staining the sky a mercury red. Minutes passed by, a steady echo sprawling from my steps. I was almost home-- and that's when I heard it.

There was someone behind me. I turned around, my heartbeat quickening. In the scarce light remaining, I saw a silhouette. My stomach dropped. The silhouette was armed. Despite the spinning world, I whirled around and ran. My breaths came quicker, my feet pounding against the musty concrete. It was not only my own.

Things changed rapidly. Imperatively. I had fallen, my heartbeat pounding in my ears, the rhythm drowning out all else. The silhouette had caught up to me. I now saw, it was a man. He held a knife, and before I knew it, he had plunged it into my abdomen. And so I bled.

With flames ripping across my abdomen every time I moved, I stayed still. The crimson river rushing from the wound fortified my need for help.

"I think maybe I'm dying." the thought refused to leave me alone.

"Help me," I cried wordlessly. "help me."

Kai.... I'm sorry...

My life flashed before my eyes, and the world dimmed. I did not have the strength to speak. So I mentally prayed my farewells. The agony dimmed, and I was dying. This was the end...
