So yesterday was my last day of school, so that means I will have one less thing to do.
I felt like writing today so yeah
Sorry if this chapter is a mess, I had no idea where I was going with this.
TW/CW: None! :) Wholesome shit Ig idk
"Quackity, come on, we all need to contribute to this!" Karl groaned at Quackity's stubbornness.
"What's in it for me? What even is the point of spring cleaning? I don't like to do things that don't involve sitting around all day!" Quackity complained, throwing his arms over his head in pure frustration.
"We know you don't, Quackity, but the house is a mess and we need to clean it up just a little! You won't even need to do that much, just the bare minimum!" Karl pleaded, shoving a duster in front of Quackity.
Quackity sighed and took the object, muttering, "fine!"
Karl had a relieved look on his face before quickly turning to the stairs, heading down to the basement.
Quackity looked at the duster he was currently holding, sighing and glancing at the stairs.
"The bare minimum." He repeated Karl's words, inhaling as he ventured upstairs. He turned the corner to walk into the main upstairs hallway where their rooms lined up neatly against the plain walls, stopping in his tracks as he noticed something odd.
A tall, red ladder was sat in the middle of the hallway, the gray carpet sitting comfortably underneath it. Above the ladder, the door to the attic was wide open, concerning Quackity as he looked up to the dark abyss.
He felt a shiver down his spine as he took a step forward. Both hands gripping the sides of the ladders. He put a foot on the ladder as he started climbing.
"Sapnap, Karl!" He called out once he reached the attic. No reponse. He grabbed his phone from his pocket and turned on the flashlight, illuminating the dark, enclosed space. Seeing no sign of either of his fiancé's, Quackity grew suspicious. The attic was a mess, signalling to the male that no one had came up here. The attic was littered with cardboard boxes and antiques that looked to be hundreds of years old. There were cobwebs in every corner of the attic, including the corners of the ceiling. Some of the floorboards were loose, and some were missing all together. Tools strayed from the toolbox and lay carelessly on the ground, the attic reeked of a disgusting stench, but Quackity was used to it. He was literally married to an alcoholic for about 3 years.
Although neither of the three men went in the attic, Quackity decided to clean it anyway. He started by removing the cobwebs. He grabbed a broom that was conveniently placed by the only window in the dark space, using it to destroy the stringy webs.
Then, Quackity got to work. He started dusting of the antiques scattered around the attic, thinking about how careless the previous owners of the house must've been.
Eventually, Quackity's curiosity got the best of him and he trotted over to the cardboard boxes. He had resisted the urge to look through them for so long, not trying to invade anyone's privacy.
He grasped the box closest to him, sighing before pulling it open. Inside, there were photos of a family. It was in black and white, so they were definitely taken a while ago. The contents of the box also included, old vases, cracked pottery, knitted scarves, more photos and... love letters?
Quackity assumed they were love letters because there was a heart sticker where the fold and base of the envelope meet. He flipped the envelope over, his eyes widening.
To: Sapnap :]
Date: (Enter day Karlnap started here)
Quackity gasped in shock as he further examined the handwriting. It was Karl's, had to be. The person it's to, the smiley face, everything screamed "Karl."
Q snickered as he opened the envelope. He was greeted with a white sheet of paper folded neatly in the envelope. Quackity eagerly took the piece out, unfolding the paper and smoothing out the wrinkles. He glanced over the sheet of paper, soon figuring it out it was a note. He cleared his throat before reading,
Hello Sapnap. This is Karl
I regret writing this and my heart is about to beat out of my chest right now, but this just had to be said.
I like you. Like a lot, more than friends. I know this is a really big thing for me to say, but it's true. I love you, Sap. I truly do. It's okay if you don't like me back, It just had to be said.
Bye :]
Quackity chuckled at the cheesy letter before stuffing into his pocket and quickly sliding down the ladder.
He jogged downstairs to the living room, to see Karl and Sapnap cuddled on the couch.
"Oh, hey Q!" Sap said, smiling wide.
"Hi!" Quackity replied, smirking.
"What's up?" Karl asked, reading Quackity's expression like a magazine.
"Oh nothing... I just found... something in the attic." Quackity admitted.
Karl's emotion changed from happiness to confusion. "Huh?"
"You and Sap, read this." Quackity giggled, handing the two the love letter.
Karl put the note down, his eyes wide, Sapnap was roaring with laughter.
"Oh my honk! I was going to give this to Sap a long time ago, but lost it!" Karl explained, blushing from embarrassment.
"Well hey, we're all here now, so I guess losing it was a good thing." Sapnap stated.
"Hey!" Karl yelled, still flustered.
"I mean...."
"He's not wrong."
