6. Go Kick Ass

The last couple days, Effy has been staying with Alex and Meredith was beginning to grow suspicious, but George and Izzie didn't think anything of it. It's not like they were doing anything bad, he was just helping her with the whole police thing and all of the interviews. Vincenzo knew about it, and since he lived closer to Alex than he did Meredith, he thought it was better for Effy to be with him.

"Effy, where are you? You haven't been home in days. Vin said you haven't been staying with him either. Where are you?" Meredith complains over the phone.

"I know, I'm sorry, Mer. I've been staying with Cristina, but I will come home tonight I promise" Effy says, making a mental note to call Cristina.

"Okay, I love you. You're my best friend, I just want you to be safe"

"I know. I love you too"

After Meredith ended the call, Effy called Cristina straight away.

"What's up, Dottie?"

"Dottie? That's what you're calling me now?" She questions.

"It's because you're small. What do you need?"

"I need you to lie to Meredith for me. Can you just tell her that I've been staying with you the past few days?"

"Yeah, sure. You should really go home though" Cristina tells her.

"I know, I will. Thank you for doing this"

"It's not a problem. Later, Eff"

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Alex asks as they sit in his car outside of the police station. Bailey had convinced Chief Webber to let them start later, and he reluctantly agreed.

"Alex, he has my phone number, that means he's one step closer to finding out where I live. I can't put Meredith in danger like that. Or George, or Izzie, I can't put any of them in danger. I can't put you in danger. I can't put my dad in danger. I need to put an end to this" She informs, taking a deep breath.

"Okay, let's go" He says, starting to get out of the car but Effy stops him.

"Woah, no, just me. This is my problem, I should do this on my own"

"I'm not letting you walk in there alone. I promised I'd be there for everything, so that's what I'm doing"

Effy eventually caves and the two of them walk into the station. "Hi, I'm Dr Elizabeth Ricci from Seattle Grace Hospital"

"Dr Ricci?" An officer asks, walking over, "I'm Simon Tanner, I'm the officer you talked to on the phone" He smiles, introducing himself.

"It's nice to meet you. Uh, this is my friend, Dr Alex Karev" Alex and Ryan shake hands,

"Why don't we take this somewhere more private" Tanner suggests, "Dr Karev, you may join us if you wish" He smiles before leading the two interns to a private room.

"Elizabeth?" A voice asks.

"Papa? What are you doing here?"

"This is where I work. What are you doing here?" Vincenzo asks.

"I'm reporting the accident to the proper authorities" Effy explains.

"Officer Ricci, I understand she's your daughter. But I promise, I can handle this" Simon smiles.

"Okay, well be safe, bella. I'll come and see you after my shift" Vin smiles.

"Okay. Love you, Papa"

"I love you too, picollo" The woman smiles before walking away.

"Right, Dr Ricci, why don't you start from the beginning?" Officer Tanner asks after leading them to a private room.
