*Angelina's POV*
I had no idea that hating my own best friend so much would get me here. I looked at Fred Weasely, the only boy I'd ever really wanted, who was holding up a ring asking me to marry him. Of course I'm ecstatic! I've always wanted to marry Fred. However, I'm pretty sure he's only asking because I'm pregnant with his child. Well he thinks I am.
I blame Sinthia for this proposal. Why did she and her stupid boyfriend have to mention marriage before the baby came? And why did she get to be pregnant and I don't? This is just the latest in a long string of issues caused by the one and only Sinthia Watson.
So I don't exactly hate Sin. I mean I love her, but I don't think I like her very much. It's hard to, honestly. Everything is just always about her. Nothing seemed to ever come hard for her, it was always so easy. She just kind of breezed through life. It was frustrating.
Growing up in Sinthia Watson's shadow was not easy. I mean there's a part of you that's grateful that you get to be in her presence and that people associate you with her, but the other part is always competing with someone who had no idea they were even in the game. Sin is so obliviously confident that she doesn't even realize that she's in competition. There is no competition for her. She's always winning.
She didn't even really see us as competition in our pranking. She was brilliant when it came to them. It's like it was in her blood or something. Fred was the same way. Having those two on a scheme together meant it was not only going to be good, but successful. Their chemistry was out of this world. I hated it.
I don't think I really felt any ill feelings towards Sin until fourth year. Puberty had just really hit and emotions were higher than ever and we were all awkward teenagers. Except for Sin. She just kind of got more beautiful and charming with puberty. I envied her.
Fourth year was also when crushes really started developing and most girls in our year had the same crush. Cedric Diggory. Puberty had hit him like the Knight Bus and he was easily the best looking in our year. I didn't know a girl who didn't want a piece of him. But no one knew who he was interested in or if he even was interested in any of us. Cue Sinthia Watson.
Once again oblivious about all competition, Sin one day decided she would talk to Cedric Diggory since everyone else was too scared to do it. I totally thought he would turn her down. They just really didn't seem to fit. They were total opposites. But the opposite happened. Cedric fell for Sin. Hard.
He wouldn't so much as look at another girl even when she wasn't around. Sinthia had this boy wrapped around her finger. How?! What the hell was so special about her? Now I wasn't jealous that she had Cedric necessarily. It was more the fact that she had the most desired boy in our year without much effort and the fact that he was head over heels for her. So Sinthia had her first boyfriend while the rest of us were single, weird and overemotional. Another win for Watson.
I would have been happy about the break up between Sin and Cedric only he was miserable. Everyone could tell he was still holding out for her. That's how I knew her version of how things ended wasn't exactly true. But I left it alone. I was just glad she wasn't with him anymore.
Then of course fifth year happened and Lee is asking her out?! We had said years ago no dating within the group. Sure we were ten when we said that, and I definitely wanted to date Fred, but still! The rule was being broken for Sinthia. So now she had her second boyfriend and I had only shared an awful kiss with Roger Davies. I hate her.
Finally things turned around. Fred asked me out! The Fred Weasley who I always thought was out of my grasp. I never thought he'd look at me with Sinthia around but he did. The moment I finally said yes to him I was determined to never let Sinthia have him. Fred was mine and I needed to have one thing she didn't. If that was the case I could go the rest of my life not hating her.
