-----------------------------

It has been 3 years since everything had happened with Celeste. Three years of peace and quiet in Prythian. No psychopath trapping everyone under a mountain. No crazy heart broken Damnatis jumping into peoples' bodies.

Freesia and Azriel were celebrating their third mating anniversary and first pregnancy. They had thrown a mating party on this day three years ago, having the traditional ceremony and then they both fed each other cake at the after party. It had lasted until sunrise the next day.

Feyre had given birth to a beautiful baby boy, who they named Nyx. Freesia could tell that Az and Cass were a bit disappointed about the baby not bearing wings, but they were still extremely excited to be uncles to the boy.

"Maybe he'll have the same powers as his parents and be able to make himself wings when he's older." Cassian had said, hopefully.

Nesta and Cassian had also mated not long after Freesia and Azriel. Freesia knew that the day would come. They threw a mating party as well but it didn't last as long, being that Nesta and Cassian left early to celebrate at home.

Freesia smiled to herself as she looked into the mirror, her shirt stretching over her swollen baby bump. They had been trying for a baby for a year before it had finally happened. Freesia would always remember the look on Azriel's face when she had told him. The way he had kissed her belly and cried as he whispered to their growing baby.

He would still talk to it as they laid in bed at night, telling the story of how him and Freesia had met and he even sang to them as he drifted to sleep. His deep voice rumbling against her skin.

Freesia closed her eyes, imagining that moment as she swayed to the melody he had sang just last night, when strong arms wrapped around her. She opened her eyes, already knowing who was behind her as she leaned against Azriel's chest.

"Hi, baby." He whispers into her ear, sending chills to the back of her neck, "Hi, baby." He repeats, looking down at Freesia's belly and circling his hand on her bump.

"We missed you." Freesia replies as she places her hand over his. Azriel had been working with Rhys this past week more often. He was gone for most of the day now and it was making Freesia antsy from not seeing him all the time.

She had spent her day with Feyre and Nesta when Azriel was gone, playing with Nyx and baking cookies (Which Freesia had been craving her entire pregnancy.)

Elain had went to the continent for the past few months. She claims to be with Lucien, Jurian, and Vassa but no one has heard from her. Feyre and Nesta seem a bit wound up about not knowing where she was and it was making Freesia anxious as well, but she was sure Elain was fine.

Freesia hadn't seen Lucien for a few months now. She had told her brother of who their true father was, and surprisingly he had taken it very well. He almost did not care.

"I am just glad to not be related to that monster." He had said, which Freesia agreed to. She was still working on getting over what had happened to her. She still woke from nightmares some nights where Azriel would hold her as she cried and fell back to sleep.

But they seemed to come less as the years passed.

"Ready for bed, my love?" Azriel spoke, turning Freesia to face him. Freesia nodded and they headed to the bed. Azriel helped her onto the mattress, making sure her pillows were comfortable and she was comfortable. Azriel laid down next to her, placing his arm around her shoulder as she snuggled closer.

A few moments of silence passed of them just laying there in each others' arms. Then a question popped into Freesia's mind. One she had been wanting to talk about but had never had the time to talk about it.

"What do you want to name the baby?" She whispered softly. Azriel did not answer for a moment, thinking on what Freesia had asked.

Then, softly, he whispers, "What do you think about Harper?" Freesia smiles at that, raising her head to look at her mate. His face is serious and a hint of nervousness shines in his eyes as Freesia cups his cheek.

"Your mother's name." She whispers Azriel nod, leaning into her hand. "I love it. And if it's a boy?"

"Your mother's name was Alexia." He states, pulling his fingers through Freesia's hair lazily, "What about Alex?"

Freesia's heart squeezes at that. She really did have a perfect mate. "I love it, Azriel. And I love you." She kisses him softly before laying her head on his chest.

"I love you, my Love. And I love you." He says to Freesia's tummy, "No matter if you're a Alex or a Harper."

They fell asleep like that. With Azriel's hand on Freesia stomach as her head laid on his chest.

--------------------------------------

4 months later

Freesia was rocking Harper in the chair placed in the corner of her nursery. They had moved into this house two months before she was born, wanting to have their own space for their future family.

She hummed a soft tune as Harper drifted to sleep, her bright green eyes fluttering shut. Freesia stood as soon as she knew it would not wake her and walked over to the crib Cassian had built them from scratch, placing her gently onto the plush mattress.

Freesia stood above her sleeping baby as she slept, taking in her soft curly black hair, her long healthy lashes, her button nose that Cassian would always boop, making Harper laugh. She had Azriel's hair and smile. But she got Freesia's, Freesia's mother's, eyes.

Azriel's arms wrapped around her waist as he sneaked in behind her. They stood there in silence, looking at what they had made together, who they had made together.

Freesia loved her little family. Loved the good moments of just watching her sleep, and the bad moments when she wouldn't stop crying in the middle of the night. She loved it all because when she was in that dark cellar for all those years, she had given up hope of ever having a life. Of ever having.. this.

But she had done it. She had overcame her darkest times and found her mate. She had Harper now to get her through the bad times. She had Azriel to hold her after her nightmares. She had a family now. And she would never let them go.
