MSS: The Moment When

A/N Please ignore the vest on Drake.

Leon, Chayce, Sean, Jacob and JaCole stood at the entrance of the forest. They were huddled together like a foot ball team like they were discussing strategies with their next move in a game. Leon had called on his brothers to tell them what he saw with Drake. He was still baffled by it. It led him to further believe that Drake is hiding something. And whatever it is, is not good and they needed to put a stop to it.

And fast.

Leon cleared his throat as he looked around. "Drake is up something, we need to find out what it is." He grounded out. They all nodded.

JaCole stood. "I have a theory that this might have something to do with our future mate,Skaitra, Drake has been on edge ever since he first saw her a year ago."

The brothers all agreed to that.

Even though Skaitra had only been with them for a few weeks. They have known about Skaitra for a about a year,  at that time they would not have know that she was going to be their mate.

........well except for a certain black wolf with a jagged silver streak.

1 year ago....

The Alphas of the Blood Eclipse all stood at the edge of a cliff that overlooked their territory. They had just returned from their morning patrol around the  borders' edge and had stopped to do some 'sight seeing' as one of them pointed out. The six wolves stood on the rocks. The cool breeze. The cool crisp air swept past them. It was relaxing. It was calm, until they heard a sound coming through along with boisterous laughter. They all turned to look too see who/what it was.

They crept towards the area to get a closer look. Running by were two women, one short girl with brown hair and the other was slighlty taller with blonde hair. They were both naked as they ran and tried to throw mud at each other. They looked like they were having but also drawing attention to themselves. They were obviously young wolves.

Young and fertile..........
                       ...........unmated.
Perfect for rogues.

The six alphas stared at them, some snickering when the brunette one threw a handful of mud and it landed directly in the blonde's face as she tripped over a log. They heard the blonde girl whimpering and watched as her friend turned towards her. It was then that they were able to see the other girl's face and what a sight it was.

She was stunning. Her dark hair framing her small, round face. They watched as her dark eyes glanced around the area while tending to her friend. Her pink, plump lips casted into a pout as she held the other girl's foot, which seemed to be broken. The brunette whispered something and the blonde nodded. She stood up and the six wolves watched in amazement as the brunette transformed into a massive blue beast...?

They were shocked.

They had to take a step back as the giant wolf was now facing, watching them with what appeared to be a snarl on its face. The wolf then lowered its body (still scrutinizing the Alphas) to accompany the blonde. The girl held onto to the beast's oceanic blue fur. The wolf then turned on its heel and dashed into forest.

The six alphas were dumbfounded. Never in history have they ever seen a wolf so massive. The creature basically out-beasted them. And never have they ever seen one with blue fur.

She was majestic.

After a moment of shocked silence, they turned towards a dirt trail that led into another part of the forest. They were going home.

..... End of Flash Back

(Author's Snippet ;)  *While watching the blue beast run off. One of  the Alphas' blood ran cold and it was not because of the wolf's size, it was its fur. Something came to its mind. Something it didn't want to surface. He wanted that part of its life buried forever. But upon seeing the blue fur. Something stirred.

Something in its heart.

The Alpha's tail twitched and his eyes narrowed and head tilted into a nod. Like an affirmative. Like a go ahead to a plan only he only would know of.

.."Ever since then, he's been acting up. I don't know what's wrong with him." Chayce spoke. Leon listened to each of his brother's tales of Drake and his behavior.

That one memory surface in Leon's mind. The one from a year ago. He was the only one that was not watching the blue wolf. He was watching Drake, something triggered him to. While the transformation took place. He watched as the light silver in his brother's eyes shifted, he watched his tail twitch and his head lowered with the slightest nod.
Like a confirmation.

From that moment he knew something was up.

From that moment he knew something wasn't right.
