MSS: It All Starts With Betrayal

The pack house was silent, no one uttered a word, and if they did, it would most likely be whispered. Everyone was sitting in the large living room. The mother of the children sat in the middle, crying softly and her best friend Chelsea were wiping her tears, she too held a solemn expression on her face. Leon was standing at the side, his brothers next to him. Skaitra stood in the middle of the room, her hands clasped as she held her head down, while staring at the children's bodies that were laid on the floor. Her breath came out shakily and tears ran down her face.

"I am so sorry for your loss Catherine, I want to you know, I am deeply sorry that wo could not save them in time." Skaitra said, the mother raised her head, then stood and walked towards the Luna.

The mother raised her hand and caressed the side of Skaitra's face softly.  "You have nothing to be sorry for my Luna." The woman smiled softly, then her gaze dropped and she turned towards the Alphas. "It is Drake and the Mother Leader who needs to be sorry." The woman spat out.

Leon and his brothers looked up at the woman, though turning away quickly when they saw the angry expression her face displayed. "Leon, Chayce, Sean,  three of your brothers are missing, how convenient, we cannot see them right now. They are supposed to be our Alphas, our leaders. How do you expect us to come to terms with the loss, the loss of my children, when half of our supposed protectors are nowhere to be seen." Catherine shouted , her hands moving about and tears flowed freely from her light blue eyes.

She was in pain, everyone understood and they mourned with her. Her children were apart of their pack as well. They were loved and cared for by all. "I am going to tell you what and who  killed my children." Catheerine said suddenly, she turned to look at Skaitra.  "It was Drake and the Mother Leader, they were also trying to kill Leon by snapping his neck." She revealed.

Skaitra's eyes widened at the revelation, gasps were heard all around the room. The woman turned to look back at Leon. "Your brother is a traitor. First he casts doubts on his leadership of The Blood Eclipse, then he makes it his all time selfish mission to seek after our Luna, then this, killing two innocent children?! My children! For what?! Why?!" She shouted.

Skaitra was speechless, she was staring at Leon, who refused to make eye contact with her. She was stunned by the detail.

'Drake and The Mother Leader tried to kill Leon.' HIS OWN BROTHER!' God!'

A sudden chill was felt in the room, it brought goosebumps on everyone. There was a shift in energy in the air, Skaitra was the first to detect it. She turned slowly, behind her was a glass ceiling to floor window where she saw a pair of glowing red eyes before it suddenly goes black.

A low rumble was heard.

The ground shook a little.

Leon, Chayce and Sean became aware of this for in which the area where the were standing shook the most, almost tripping them.

"What the fuck is going on?" Catherine yelled.

Skaitra was still silent, still staring out the window, watching as redish gold slits/orbs grew in black eyes. She backed away form slightly seeing the eyes look up and down and she got that creepy feeling that whoever or whatever it was, was smirking. The windows started to shake violently.

Her eyes widened, seeing it coming before anyone else could.

"GET AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS!" She yelled.

But it was too late.

Black snake like spiky branches broke through the windows, they went after everyone, specially the younger ones. Skaitra had ducked seeing them coming, she was on the floor watching as Leon had Catherine and Chelsea covered, Sean had some of the children and Chayce and his beta were covering those who were hurts. The things came protruding in and out the now shattered window.

The screams had stopped when these things had finally relented. Footsteps were heard by the crunching of glass. The air grew colder, Skaitra looked up and was shocked by what she saw.

Drake.

And The Mother Leader

Standing side by side, all decked out in black with for Drake who wore the skin of a Lycan clad by a heavy set of titanium chains. Drake's entire upper body was transformed. He was half man/half wolf. His face had ancient markings on them, his eyes were glowing red with silver, hair wet and and dripping behind him.

He looked every bit of the monster he was especailly with the silver-tipped canines that went past his mouth. He stepped forward.

"Leon."

"Skaitra."

Skaitra and Drake locked eyes with him each other before turning to Drake, Leon standing up first, snarling as soon as he sees Drake.

"Rememver when I told you that you would only be able to watch as I destroy you and your bitch? Do you remember that brother?" Drake taunted Leon.

Leon grew angry, his eyes morphing, wolf ready to pounce. "You are no brother of mine." He spat out. "You are pathetic, having killed two innocent children then this?! What the fuck do you want Drake?" Leon got closer to him.

Skaitra watched this interaction from behind a chair, her eyes peaking over, eyes glowing, ready to shift if need be. Drake looked over at her and smirked then turned back to Leon.

Drake smield widely at the look in Leon's face.

"That's so easy brother." The room got even colder and Drake's face dropped to a serious as he whispered.

"Your heads."
