Skai's POV
I sat on my bed and watched as my mom, Julia and Sophia packed all of my stuff. You'd think it being my stuff, I would be helping but no, they insisted they'd do it for me.

Honestly I don't think I could do any packing after what happened earlier.

'I know what you are.' His voice rang in my head. I furrowed my eyebrows as I thought about it. It made me think about everything that has happened in my life. From what I remember, nothing out of the extraordinary occurred. I mean what is normal in a werewolf's life.

'Nothing is.' Lani subjected.

I sighed. 'That was a rhetorical question Lani.'

'So?' I shook my head.

My mom tapped my shoulder, I looked at her. She held up a diamond necklace, my eyes widened a bit. I remembered seeing this somewhere, but where?

'Two days before the ball.' Lani reminded me.

"Where did you get this?" She asked.

I honestly didn't have the right answer, but I couldn't lie. "I just found it in my room the day I had to choose my dresses." I told her completely leaving out the part where a black wolf was at my window and the pressing fact that it was him who left it there.

She gave me a skeptical look before sighing then she placed the necklace in my hand then walked to my closet.

Sophia and my mom had left the room after finishing their part (which was most of it) and carrying it downstairs to be put away.

Julia had remained behind and was currently showing me some things/clothes that she personally bought for me, some of them were cool and some were just.....

I can't even come up with a word for them.

I shook my head as I held up another pair of black lingerie. "Julz, what am I supposed to do with this?" I asked while holding the sleazy underwear.

She smirked at me." You might need it after your graduation, think of it as a gift to your alphas." She stopped when she saw the look on my face.

I wasn't even going to acknowledge what she just said. Gross..

Julia sat down with her hands on her stomach, rubbing circles around it, before looking at me. "I think I know what's wrong." She placed her hand on mine and I looked at her.

"What is?" I asked and she gave me a look.

"You're afraid."

"No I'm not."

"Cut the bullshit Skaitra." I looked at her." You have always been the more outspoken one out of the two of us. If you were sad, you wouldn't show it, you rarely ever crack. But ever since you found out that you would be mated and you would have to leave." She paused. "I started to see the little cracks form on and in you." She looked at me.

I rolled my eyes what she was staying was very true. I hated when she was right. "You're right." I sighed. "This is what I've been preparing for my entire life and now that its happening, I want to take it all back." I said to her, my chest started to feel heavy, I breathed in.

She placed her shoulder on mine. "I know how you feel Skaitra, I've been in your shoes. You just have to be strong." She said and I smiled slightly.

"You're right again."

"Hey, it's not all bad, you get to be queen." Julia laughed.

I chuckled. "Luna."

She shrugged." Same difference, now you have to promise me one thing."

"What's that?"

"You call me at least twice a day or-" I cut her off.

"Or what?" I smirked.

She shook her head. "Just call me."

"I will." I gave her a hug before we both walked out the door.

I stood at the parking lot as I watched my mates talk to my parents. I was now leaving my pack house, it's not easy but this is what I've been preparing for. My eyes welled up again as I saw Sophia give a sad look as she waved. I was gonna miss her so much, I swallowed the urge to cry.

My parents gave me a big hug and a kiss on each of my cheeks.

'Its hard babygirl but it has to happen.' Lani said.

'I agree.'

My things were all packed and was already on course to my new pack house. I sighed as I waved one last time to my family.

I got in the truck with my mates. Sean and Jacob sat in the bed of the truck outside. I sat at the back, huddled between Chayce and JaCole, while Drake sat in the passenger seat and Leon drove.

I kept my head down. "So we hear that you are finally graduating next month, that's a real big accomplishment." Leon spoke.

"Yeah, I guess." I left it that.

He seemed to take the hint that I didn't want to talk anymore so he continued on the road.

I lifted my head slightly and I don't even know how but my eyes landed on the rear view mirror. I don't understand, everybody else is doing their own thing; Sean and Jacob are talking at least that's what it seems like they were doing. Chayce was listening to music, JaCole seemed engrossed in a book and Leon, well he was driving so...

But this guy chooses to stare at me through the mirror. He had his grey eyes on me, he had nothing better to do it seems. After what he said earlier, I had to turn away from him.

He said knew 'what I am'. What the fuck is that suppose to mean??

I heard a deep chuckle and my head shot up, I looked at him and so did Leon.

"What's so funny?" Leon asked.

His eyes went from Leon to the mirror and the way his eyes seem to narrow a bit, I could tell he was smirking.

"Nothing, nothing at all." He winked at me.

I groaned lightly. This is gonna be a long drive.
