Me rambling about one of my fav ships (Mare x Cross)

So Mare x Cross was a joke Jakei made about shipping them?

I don't care if you ship it or not, I'm rambling how toxic it could be between the two.

Look, it doesn't have to be toxic...

I personally don't think it has to be. Sure, I understand Mare and Cross aren't on good terms because of Mare's hatred for Cross but think about this:

Mare could've had Cross work with the Anti-Hero's (Killer, Murder, Horror, and Error) on the sidelines. Like...

Like Mare gets him when needed, as a co-worker. They don't have to be that way...

Another way I see this is like Mare has Cross as his bodyguard because I see Mare as one to get... Injured easily because he doesn't give up easy at all during his fights with the Stars or maybe Fallen Stars...

Cross could step in and defend him while he gathers his strength back and/or takes a moment to breathe before getting up and trying again.

They don't have romantic feelings for each other but Mare's wanting to protect the one who helps him (headcanons in a sense) and Cross wanting to protect Mare is good enough for me.

Just the protecting urge is good enough without romantic feelings, it still gives Mare x Cross vibes.
