since y/n had nothing else better to do on her day off from school, swim practice and her part-time job, she decided to lay on the grass in a park near her house. the feeling of the late summer heat is what y/n looked forward to all year, specially the time of the year that sandwiched between autumn and the summer.
y/n turns to the sound of multiple footprints running towards her, finding guys wearing dark red shorts and black shirts jogging towards the park she's in. to gain a better view of them, she sits up on her elbow, squinting to better her view of the faces she found a little familiar.
of course, to her luck, it's her high school's volleyball club.
y/n locks eye contact with atsumu miya, the annoying idiot she's known for most of her life. unbothered, she lays back on the grass, staring up into the bright blue sky. the thin clouds that hovered above her while the sunlight singed her skin.
y/n nosily listens to the volleyball guys take a short break to stretch and catch their breath, listening to them laugh and talk loudly amongst themselves. listening in onto their conversation out of 'curiosity'. it wasn't until her phone rings loudly in her ear, interrupting her ability to listen. without checking to see who's calling, she answers.
