Have you seen what Crunchyroll did with Senku? They actually sent a Senku figurine into space, that's insane! I love this community.

You smile was you watch the snow falling, feeling it caressing your skin. Winter was your favorite season, and now that it had finally arrived, you were happy.

You look around, making sure no one was watching, and you lay down, moving your arms and legs as you giggle. You then get up to see your snow angel, recollections of your childhood flooding your memory.

"Feeling childish?" A voice asks, and you look to the trees as Senku and Gen emerge from them. You blush with embarrassment.

"W-Well, the snow just looked so soft, and inviting..." You make a cheerful smile. "I couldn't help it!"

Senku sighs as Gen steps closer. "Ah, don't worry, (Y/N), we all understand that feeling. Senku's the only one who thinks that only by making science things you can have fun."

"Don't forget who makes you Cola."

Gen exhales with a smile.

"This reminds me of a birthday I had." You say. "A blizzard had come only days before and then there was all that snow, asking to be played with! It was such a fun day... This year reminds me of that winter."

"Now that you mention it, you have never said when your birthday is, (Y/N)." Gen tells, and you cock your head.

"You're right! I haven't thought about that in a long while. I guess..." You make the calculation in your mind. "I guess it will be in a week."

"Already?" Gen asks, eyes lit with surprise. "Well, it's better to know sooner rather than later."

"For what? I don't want to give anyone unnecessary work, especially now that we have to ration and prepare for the war." The word tasted bitter on your tongue.

Gen waves a hand before joining his sleeves. "Don't worry about anything, (Y/N), you just relax."

It was the first birthday you had without a cake. It was weird to think about that. It seemed so shallow now in this world to think about it.

Kohaku had given you dagger she had, one of her first ones. You didn't really know how to fight, but Kohaku said she would teach you how to use the blade and you felt grateful for it. If you could only learn what was enough to defend yourself, you would be less of a nuisance for everyone else.

Chrome celebrated by lighting fires with multiple colors, and you watched it, marveled, remembering the candles of a cake.

Stop thinking about things you can't have!

Others gave you flowers, and you all had a good lunch with ramen and other equally delicious food. You never imagined you would ever a celebrate a birthday like this, but life has a way to twist things in ways we never expected.

But your birthday was still just a day, and work needed to be done. You were just about to ask Kohaku to help with carrying some heavy baskets when Senku appears from his lab.

"Hey, I need your help with something (Y/N)." He says straight away, wiping his ear.

"Oh," You say. "With what?"

"I need you to come with me to the lake to collect some materials."

You blink, surprised. Usually he would ask the more capable and strong to do those chores, so his request came unexpected. You were just about to say that when he starts walking, not looking back to see if you were accompanying him.

You run to him and you two quickly reach the lake. It was now frozen, a solid layer of ice over the water. It looked fantastic, and the first time you had seen it you had immediately stepped into it. It was the closest you had to an ice ring and it was the closest thing you had that remembered your old life.

You make a small smile as you turn to Senku. "What do you need? Weeds, rocks? Maybe-"

You stop as you notice the bag in his hand, his arm stretched out to you. "What?"

"For you."

You frown as you take the bag. Then you smirk as you start opening it. "Oh? I was honored to receive a present from the great Senku? And what have you come up with-" You stop as you peek inside, eyes widening, heart accelerating.

Inside was a pair of boots, metal running over the soles of the shoes. You raise your head to look at Senku, as if to make sure he was there, that this was happening.

He was grinning. "You were an ice skater, right? You already had the ring, you only need the shoes."

Your eyes shine with tears, as you stare the boy in front of you. He couldn't possibly know just how much this meant to you, he couldn't. He was giving you a part of your life you though it would be lost forever.

The words 'thank you' didn't seem enough to express what you felt. So, instead, you crouched on the ground as you changed the shoes.

Then you step onto the ice, careful as you adjust to the shoes and the ice. You slide, hesitantly, along the border, one foot first and then the other, you heart hammering with anticipation. You feel Senku's eyes on you and, when you feel confident enough, you start to slide into the middle of the frozen lake.

The ice was solid, strong. You start to speed up, faster and faster, and then you jump, giving a single spin in the air. You land on the ice with a solid thud with a leg raised, but it didn't break, and you heart leaps with joy. You continue to spin around, a bright smile forming on your lips, as you jump and make the movements your body remembered so well.

You were so focused on the moment that you didn't notice the look of bewilderment of Senku's face as he watched you. You looked so graceful, so... free. And for a moment, it was as if it was 3000 years before, as if he was watching you on a competition.

Senku didn't really care about any activities other than science. But as he watched you, as he watched your fluid movements and happiness, he suddenly felt as if there was a much vaster world beyond what he thought he existed.

After a few more minutes, you slow down, making your way to the edge of the lake as Senku steps to it as well.

Your cheeks were red from the effort, sweat glistening on your forehead, but you were so happy you didn't care. You were glowing.

Words weren't enough to express what you felt, so instead you jump, hugging Senku close to you. You knew he wasn't that type of person, but you were so glad you just felt it was the right thing.

"Thank you." Your voice murmurs in his ear, breaking a little with emotion. "Thank you so much, Senku."

He simply pats you on the head, but it was more than you imagined he would do.

"You don't have to thank me." He says as he pulls away. You blink as you notice the ever so slight pink in his cheeks wondering of the light was playing tricks on you. "I didn't do much. All it took was to melt the metal and-"

You raise your hands to the sky. "Senku!" You point at him, your eyes shining with determination. "I have decided, now more than ever. Whatever you go, I'll follow. I trust you with my soul, and I'll do whatever I can so the Kingdom of Science and you can still go further."

Senku was caught off guard by your statement, not knowing what to reply before gathering his thoughts, but you continued, this time softer.

"You are the one I choose."
