We had arrived back on Asgard a few days after our trip to Disney. The Palce was starting to feel more like home now and i never was nervous to return here. Upon our arrival Odin had demanded his sons presence in the throne room, leaving myself and Emily in need of something to do. We headed back to our rooms, unpacked, and then headed out into the gardens for a little catch up.

"I can't believe this is our life now" Emily said as she looked out to the garden in front of us.

"It's an amazing life...mostly." We both chuckled. Emily leant her elbows on her knees and placed her head in her hands. "You ok?"

"Yeh just a bad feeling.it's probably nothing" She looked at me worried for a second but then smiled at me. I decided it was best not to push her further and to distract her instead so we carried on walking further into the gardens. After an hour we decided we had been in the sun enough and made our way back into the palace, heading in the direction of our rooms.

"Opheria, Emily" Thor and Loki ran to us, Odin slightly behind them.

"What's wrong?" I asked as the men came to a sudden stop in front of us, a worried look on their faces.

"You are in danger! Everyone is. Jane has arrvied on Asgard. It's a long story. I need you to go to mother, she will protect you. Jane is there with her now!" Thor rushed. I looked at Loki who shifted uncomfortably on his feet.

"Your ex girlfriend Jane?" Emily asked, a hint of jelously in her voice.

"Yes but that is not a worry! The palace is about to be attacked! You need to go....NOW!" Thor shouted at us causing Emily to jump.

"Frigga will look after you while we fight" Odin stated, attempting to hurry the boys up. Thor brought Emily into him as i walked over to Loki.

"Be careful and come back to me!" I told Loki as we embraced one another. He placed a soft kiss on my lips.

"You too, stay safe" Loki walked off with Thor and Odin and i ushered Emily towards Friggas room. We knocked on the door and she quickly rushed us inside, locking the door behind us with her magic. A woman, who i assumed was Jane, sat on a chair in the corner,awkwardly smiling at us.

"You must be Emily, Thor has told me so much about you!" Jane stood and held her hand out to me.

"I'm OPheria, Lokis wife. That's Emily!" I said, steppnin to the side to show Emily, who held her bump protectivly. Jane waved at her and then turned her attention back to me.

"So...wife of Loki huh?" I nodded.

"I take it you aren't a fan of my husband?" I asked with a small smile.

"Not really, he did destroy New york City!"

"Yeh that's fair! I wouldnt like him either if he destroyed my home!" I shrugged my shoulders with a laugh.

"Why are you here, how did you get here?" Emily asked Jane as Frigga sat by herside.

"I don't remember, i just remember waking up here and the palace guards taking me to the infirmary. Apparantly i have something called the Ather inside me, it's something the dark elves want!" I didn't want to face them again...not after last time.

"I will protect you...all of you!" Frigga announced to the room, speaking for the first time since we arrived. We suddenly heard an uproar outside the room and then something banging on the door, attempting to get through it. "Behind here, all of you! Whatever happens you DO NOT show yourself...especially you Jane! Emily protect yourself and my grandchild! Opheria, i know you are strong and powerful but i could never forgive myself if something happened to you! Stay hidden! Whatever happens. Promise me..." i stared at her for a second and then at the door.

"I promise!" She nodded her head and hugged me. "Tell my sons i love them!" She whispered so only i could hear. She walked off, cloaking us with a spell so it looked like there was a wall. I watched as she made an illusion of Jane appear before turning to face the door. Suddenly a creature slams through the door, startling Emily and Jane, i shush them as Frigga raises her sword.

"Stand down, creature. You may still survive this."

"I have survived worse, woman." He spits the word woman as if it is venom on his tounge.

"Who are you?"

"I am Malekith, and I would have what it is mine." He walks towards Frigga with a low growl and looks at the hologram of Jane. Frigga slashed him with her sword causing him to fall back slightly but he steadied himself and they started to fight. I felt myself tense. It looked as though Frigga had the advantage until another creature came to Malekiths aid, grabbing Frigga from behind. I watched her eyes dart to me as i made a move to help her. I could see her beg with her eyes for me to stay hidden.

"You have taken something, child. Give it back." Malekith walked towards Jane and reached out to grab her but instead, watched as she dissapeared. It didn't take him long to realise it was a hologram. "Witch! Where is the Aether?" He asked as he turned back to Frigga. His aid holding her in a tight grip still.

"I'll never tell." Frigga said with a confident smile.

"I believe you" Malekith said as he raised his hand, his aid plunging a sword into Friggas back.

"NOOOOOO!" I felt anger surge through me as i broke down her cloaking device and ran to Malekith, using my powers to blast him, hitting him in the face. He fell to the ground as Thor, Odin and Loki came running in, their faces dropping at the sight of Frigga. My blast had wiped me out and i felt myself fall to the ground, falling unconcious as i watched Malekiths aid throw themselves off the side of the building.

"Rhea...Rhea!" I could hear someone calling my name but i had no energy left to respond.

"She is stable. Whatever powers she used wiped her out!

"But she's alive?" I heard a mans voice ask.

"Yes she's alive!" I felt hand hold onto mine as i atempted to open my eyes.

"Frigga?" I whispered, my voice hoarse. "Frigga!" I heard someone shush me and looked to see Loki smiling a sad smile at me.
"Loki. Tell me she isnt..." Loki looked at me, tears in his eyes. "Oh god..i should of helped sooner, this is my fault" i sat up as tears fell down my face.

"This is not your fault my love! No one blames you! Emily told us what Frigga had made you promise. I know you would never dissapoint my mother by betraying her trust. You needed to protect Emily and Jane."

"But i didn't. I revealed us and put us in danger."

"Opheria, trust me on this please!" Loki begged me to stop and i did. My loathing of myself could wait, right now my husband needed me.

"Her funeral is tonight. We will be sending her to Valhalla if you feel up to it?" Loki asked and i nodded. We headed out to Odins side, who looked at me with a sad smile, grabbing and squeezing my hand. "You have done Frigga proud! She would of been proud of the fighter you have become!" Odin said to me as he let go of my hand.

Me, Loki, Thor and Emily all stood by Odins side. Jane in the back, not wanting to intrude. I felt Loki grab my hand and pull me close as Friggas boat appeared. Odin raised his arm signaling his men to fire their arrows, setting the boat alight. Flames consuming as it headed towards the end of the stream towards the waterfall. As Odin banged his staff, the boat began to fall but she began to rise to the stars, her soul floating into the asgardian sky, her passage to Valhalla complete. Frigga, Queen of Asgard, mother of Thor and Loki and wife to the great Odin was finally at rest in the gardens of Valhalla.
