When I got home I changed into a summer dress sprouting with green and blue. I didn't bother doing much more in case Josh happened to go into the pool again. Not that I would come in if he was...
"Jen!" My mum called. .
"Yes?" I asked, looking down from the bridge thing.
"I'm going in thrity minutes, do you want to just wait around?" She questioned. For some reason, I didn't want to just 'wait around', I wanted to see Josh again. I felt really calm and happy when I was at their house, and it was far more interesting than waiting at home.
"But mum-"
"Okay, okay. Go on then." She cut in, rolling her eyes.
I smiled and rushed downstairs. I was out the door when her voice stopped me.
"Jen, don't make any mistakes over there."
"What?" I turned around.
"You heard me." She shrugged.
"Mum, it's only thirty minutes- I highly doubt I can make any mistakes in that time." I laughed.
"I'm just telling you, Jennifer." She said sternly.
"Okay." I turned around and kept on walking, totally oblivious to what she was talking about.
I got to his house and went around the back. I looked through the sliding door just as Josh was walking outside. He looked at me and grinned.
"You're back." He said, opening the sliding door.
"Sure am." I smiled, admiring his change of shirt, it was now waves crashing onto a rock and it looked so impossibly real.
"Don't go inside. My brother just got home." Josh sighed, walking over to me.
"Why is that a bad thing?" I laughed.
"Because they're my brothers. They're annoying." He raised his eyebrows like I should have already know that.
"I'd love to meet them if they resemble you." I think out loud. It's not until after I've said it do I realise. He looks at me, confused, and my cheeks go bright red.
"Are you flirting with me, Jennifer?" Josh teases, smirking.
"No, I'm flirting with your brothers." I snap to my defense. But I know that must sound worse as my cheeks go different shades of pink.
"Oh. Okay then. Well, you haven't really met them yet." Josh looks at me like I'm crazy.
"I'm sorry." I sigh, giving up.
"It's okay?" He laughs, shaking his head.
"What are their names?" I ask.
"Well, there's-" Josh starts, but is interrupted when the door slides open and a tall, buff man stands there.
"Hey." He looks straight at me, his voice deep.
"Hi." I gulp. He is attractive, and I'm not all surprised. Every guy I've seen today is good-looking. But this man is different, he has a serious look. His brown hair is combed back neatly and his eyes look straight through me. He has a major jawline that resembles Josh's. He has a stubble too.
"There's Michael." Josh turns his head, sighing.
"Pleasure." The man grins at me, revealing his straight white teeth.
"There's Daniel, but he's inside with Nate." Josh tells me, then he sits on the deck chair.
Michael walks over to me and holds out his hand. What's with these guys and handshakes? But without hesitation I take it.
