As we got comfortable in Josh's room, I found myself resting my head on the headboard, sitting up, next to Josh on his bed. Sam sits at the end of the bed but on the floor with pillows. He has the best view and is only intent on watching the movie, whereas Josh has other plans.

"You want something? A drink? Popcorn? Cuddle?" He whispers in my ear, grinning. I roll my eyes at his attempts, even though I would love to give in. It's too soon. What if this guy is a complete douche? Well, it seems impossible from my first impression, but there is a reason they're called 'first impressions'.

After a while of Josh leaving me alone, soon he does something that surprises me. We are quite far apart on his massive bed, but he moves his hand in slow motions before it finally reaches mine and he suddenly takes it. He entwines his fingers with mine, and I don't stop him. I have to bite my lip from smiling, even though I'm probably blushing. His hand has the same warmth I felt earlier today. I hold on tightly as we continue watching.

"Sam loves this movie." Josh leans in and remarks when it's near the end and Sam is completely oblivious to anything but the movie.

"I know. He loves every Christmas movie." I smiled.

It came to the end of Home Alone, and Sam finally hit his senses as the credits rolled, quickly turning around and surprising Josh and I as we release each others hands. I feel a sudden coldness, and wish I was still holding his comforting hand.

"How was it bud?" Josh got off the bed and took out the DVD.

"It was perfect. Just like I remember." Sam said, apparently in some sort of daze.

"Good. Now how about The Dark Knight?" Josh grinned, pulling out the movie from his collection.

"Actually, we should probably go back downstairs. My mum is most likely talked-out by now." I shrugged.

"Not mine." Sam frowned slightly and I laughed.

"Well we could always have a swim or surf down at the beach?" Josh suggested. I was about to agree, thinking about the fun we had at the beach, but Sam cut in.

"No thanks. It's freezing in there, and I don't have appropriate clothes. Why don't we get some food and stuff downstairs and check up on our parents?"

"Fine." Josh sighed, glancing at me in disappointment. Maybe he was thinking about the fun we had, too. The thought of him liking the time we spent together makes my heart beat fast.

As Sam led us down the stairs, Josh following behind me, I felt a hand on my back, leading me very gently. I looked behind me and saw Josh, smiling at me slightly. The touch of his hand made a shiver shoot up my spine. It was such a small gesture, and so unnoticeable, but made me feel something different. I looked forward and grinned to myself, but not so anyone could see it.

As we reached the kitchen Josh still had his hand placed on my back, and I didn't want him to take it away. But as Nate and Daniel walked towards us, he let his hand fall.

"Hello again, neighbor." Daniel chimed, walking towards me and pulling me into a surprise bear-hug. I was rather frozen for a moment, but soon sunk into his warm and strong arms. He lifted me up and spun me around and I laughed, unsure of how to react. He placed me down and gave me a cheeky grin.

"Well then, hello." I laughed, holding his bicep for support.

"Muscles." Daniel flexed, showing off. I shook my head and laughed at his ridiculous poses. I was already 100% sure he was the playful one.

"Woah here." Nate simply nudged Daniel away and stood in front of me. I gazed into his eyes. I was surrounded by too many handsome men.

"Hey there Jennifer." Nate winked.
