The next day the men were standing around the recently dug-up holes they created, they each took turns putting the bodies in the holes. Death walked up to the newly made graves after they were done burying the men and stuck their guns in the graves while putting their helmets on the stocks of the gun. The men stood in silence as they viewed the graves until a hand quickly popped out from one of them.

"ZOMBIE!" Thomas yelled out of fear as he pointed his rifle towards the grave.

"It's not a fucking zombie you idiot, John, dig him up, I forgot I didn't kill one of them," Death said.

"Yes sir!"

"You didn't kill one of them? Sir, they killed Grover, they're the enemy, I understand giving them a burial but we have to kill them, Death, it's our fucking job for christ sa-" George responded as he was abruptly cut off.

"I know okay! I couldn't kill him, he said he was a father," Death yelled as he grew angrier.

"So was Grover, he had a 5-year-old son!"

"Well, you know what, maybe I just didn't feel like having another kid lose his father yesterday!"

"That's not your decision, John, stop digging him up and put bullets in the grave."

John stopped and looked at Death, confused about what to do.

"That's not your fucking call, George! John, follow orders and keep digging up the soldier!" Death said as he stared George in his eyes. George walked up to Death and stared him back.

"Woah Woah Woah, let's calm down everyone alright, let's at least get him out the grave first, we'll decide what we'll do with him after," Dominick said to calm George and Death. George slowly backed down and walked away while still giving Death a menacing look. John continued digging until half the soldier's body was out of the ground. The soldier pulled himself up the rest of the way, "Food, water? Please I need some water," the soldier pleaded. John put a gun to the soldier's head and looked over to Death before asking, "What do you wanna do with him?"

"I don't know yet, I'll radio in upper command, see what they think about it," Death said as he walked off to the side, "This is marine Dwayne Hodson, code '694GI0H U.N.K', calling in to report a prisoner of war, we were wondering what you'd like us to do about him, sir."

"U.N.K special marines base code 'C7395G69JL741G U.N.K', your orders are to execute the prisoner."

"Sir, with all due respect, he's no threat to us, I don't think we need to execute him."

"It doesn't matter, your orders are to execute him."

"But sir, he's a father," Death said out of desperation.

"Look, we can't risk him going off and informing even more people of your presence, and we simply just don't have the time to transport him to a prisoner of war camp, I'm sorry... but your orders are to execute him and if we find out you did otherwise then there will be severe consequences, understood?"

"Yes sir..." Death responded in a defeated tone. Death walked over to the group as they waited for him to say something, Death stood there for a minute before saying, "They told us to let him go, they said there's no need to execute him and that taking him to a prison camp would be a waste of energy and time."

John slowly pulled the gun away from the soldier's head. George laughed sarcastically before saying, "This is bullshit," and walking away.

"You're not going to kill me?" the soldier asked.

"No, so get going before I change my mind," Death replied.

"Thank you, you won't regret this!" said the soldier as he hurried away from the area. As the soldier scurried off, the men sat there, pondering on what to do next. They were hungry but well-rested, Death stood on top of a small dirt hill and observed all the marines as they looked to him in confusion.
