tonight i flattened the edges of my voice, held it soft like a blanket -- then i spread my heart across it like, soft cheeses - warm eggs, cinnamon,
wrapped my pain around you, taught you to grasp at it with, gentle teeth -- made you laugh until your cheeks tint, like raspberry oil blossoming under our skins,
today i teased your heart out from between your lips -- spelt love out with the, shape of your veins, grew your colors and harvested them with a blade
