and i have been undone for a while/
chain kisses dancing on my pulse/
to the flicker beat of cigarette smoke/
i am no saint/
but i found salvation in your bright eyesthe wind is like you/
fluttering just out of my reach/
pillowed skin weaving between my fingers
the rain is like you/
cold caresses/
hiding laughter in the seams of your lipsthe sun is like me/
and i set myself on fire to please/
your glass teeth, candied thighs/
shallow sighs/
i would do anything and everything/
to love the way you liei am always this close to paradise/
but never quite there yet
