POSSIBILITIES
***
"Every goal in life starts with a dream."
I'm Damon Brent, a broken man until high school. My first and current love, Angel Clear is nowhere to be found. I feel sluggish, having no reason to go to school. Why would I if I'm not inspired at all? What's the effin' use?
My thoughts were interrupted by my damned phone.
"Hello. Damon speaking.", I said in such a lazy voice.
"U-Uh. Did I wake you, Damon?", a lady voice replied me. And, it was bloody familiar. It's Angel's. Awake and alert, I replied, "No, no, you didn't. Why'd you call?". It's very unusual though, I talk nervously with her before, now not. She also talks normally with me before, now she's hella nervous. "You nervous?", I asked her, refering about her stuttering. "Yeah. Maybe I am.", she replied. I could sense that she smiled on the other end of the phone. Oh, how I wish to see that.
"Why?", I asked her. I wanted this conversation to be longer. The longest conversation I've ever engaged at since we both parted ways.
"Well..". Her voice trailed off for a while, but she continued. "Let's start with, where are you going to study from now on?"
Her question gave me a start. The phrase 'Let's start with..' made me happy. I think right now, I'm grinning like a fool. She has lots of questions to ask. The conversation is going to be long. Hooray.
"I'm going to study at Even High. How about y--", she cuts me off.
"Really?!", she almost shouted at the phone, yet her voice is still pretty when shouting. I imagine her face, shocked, waiting for answers. I heard her clear her throat as she said, "Really? Well then, we might be schoolmates, or classmates."
I could feel her grin over the phone. That friendly grin which can allure you to the deep cliffs of her beloved heart.
If she is grinning, my mouth's open wide, like a baby waiting for his food to go inside his mouth.
"Seriously?!", I shouted with mixed feelings, excitement, happiness and hope. Hoping to talk to her. Personally. Once again.
She laughs. "Yeah. I'm kind of excited..", she says as her voice trails off. I felt my cheeks blushing for a minute. Hope.
"Yeah, me too. I hope that we're going to be classmates. I would love to talk to you all day long.". I gathered all the tidbits of courage in my body just to say that.
She giggles. The sweetest sound you can hear, so unique, the only tone which can make you infected by her 'giggly' voice. "Me too. I hope we can make friends there." She sighed.
"We can.", I smile. "I'm sure. I bet on my laptop that we could make friends on that school."
She laughs a little, and relaxes. "Yup. I think we will."
We talked about a lot of things. What to do in college. What to do in school days. What to eat during lunch. To sleep or to do something unbelievable. Likes and dislikes. Dreams. We were so close at that moment, yet literally, so far 'cause we're on phone. I loved her, and love her now. I can't resist. I can't hold no longer. I wanted to see her, I want her. I might change because of her. I might be selfish, jealous, and 'giggly' because of her.
Who the hell can resist her?
None will. May it be boys or girls, or teachers or elderly people, may it be strangers or relatives, no one would ignore her. They would want to be a part of her life, a part which she would remember, never forget, never to be misplaced in the bookshelves of her life.
