. . . 🌼 . . .
(Y/n)'s POV :
"There is no mistake, the match between Inazuma Japan and The Empire has been pushed a day earlier than the previous date." Haruna said as she showed her laptop to the boys in front of us.
I worriedly glanced at the players before me as they debated whether they should attend their game or not. My (e/c) orbs landed on the red-haired guy as he looked troubled like the rest of team. Our captain, strategist, coach and other players were not present and the sudden change of date was definitely against us.
Eventually, the team decided not to skip such an important match as we all headed towards the stadium where the game would be held.
Kazemaru took lead of the team and the match began. The match was incredibly difficult for our players because of the colossal defense of The Empire, especially their captain.
As the game went on, Kazemaru got injured and Hiroto took his place as the captain. Fortunately, he did notice the split of the team because of the absence of Kidou and put the players together.
However, the overwhelming feeling of panic caused by the difficulty of breaking The Empire's defense, but also the unexpected change of The Empire's tactics from defensive to offensive and scoring the first goal definitely startled the whole team.
At that point, I saw Hiroto freeze on his spot as he looked very troubled and stressed. I couldn't handle the sight of him having a hard time, so I got up and jogged for a better distance.
"Hiroto! Get it together, captain. The match hasn't finished yet!" I yelled to him which made him turn to look at me with a surprised expression.
"I believe in you." I continued as my eyes stayed fixed on his widening teal ones under the wing of a locked stare. He flashed me a soft smile and resumed to lead the team.
By the end of the game, we lost against The Empire and our team looked devastated. Even Hiroto didn't want to look at me, and it hurt my heart to see him sad, probably angry at himself.
We got back to camp where we waited for Endou and the others outside the main gates. They indeed arrived and the captain managed to rise the players' spirits after their loss.
It was late at night when I was leaning against my window and watching the eye-catching view of the sea while the cold breeze caressed my skin in a soft touch. My heart relaxed with the influence of the charming sound of the waves playing in the sea entering my ears.
There was a knock on the door.
"Come in." My surprisingly soft and calm voice escaped my throat, giving permission to whoever was behind the door to enter.
The door opened, revealing Hiroto. He silently walked all the way across the room to stand next to me as his eyes looked at the view ahead of us.
I gazed at the red-haired guy next to me for a while before smiling softly and turning my gaze to the non-ending sea.
"Thank you for believing in me." He said with a soft smile as he placed his hand on mine, not looking at me. I was slightly taken aback by his words and action before giving a smile and nodding,
"Anytime."

"There is definitely something wrong with The Kingdom, why would their captain come to talk to Endou about losing if everything was fine." I was walking through the corridor when I heard Hijikata's voice say.
