Her unaffiliated one, Ki, went first. She was unsurprised when he got knocked out immediately, he had gone against a close combat kid while he was long ranged. What could she do other than nod and look away? She wasn't disappointed.

Next was the brown haired boy, she hadn't learned the name of. He went down from one kick, but got back up. The girl used her awakened power, and he was done for.

The red haired boy was next. He wasn't moving. Then Jiwoo whispered something about mind control, and it made sense. Anyone who could mess with the mind isn't someone she fucked with.

The blonde haired girl was after. She gave up. But, unfortunately you couldn't give up, it wasn't in the rules. It was either K.O. or win. She knew Jiwoo's point, and could understand where he was coming from. She was thankful that the other instructors were more forgiving and understanding, and allowed Jiwoo off the hook and the forfeit.

She was worried about the blue haired boy. His starting idea was good, he has potential. But his opponent was just one sick bastard. She comforted Jiwoo and his friend, until Wooin spoke.

"This one's going to be worth watching."

And he was right. The second the third beep resonated around the room, the girl on the opposite side was hit with a blinding force. The dust settled, and then Wooin attacked again, leaving her covered in cuts. She tried attacking back, but he was faster with dodging and redirecting the blows. There was a loud explosion, and Wooin was declared the winner.

"That's Wooin. No hesitation. He attacks so fast it makes you wonder if the match even started." She said, patting his shoulder.

"Worth it, right?" He asked, blondie started crying and Jiwoo stuck his thumbs up.

And then it was Jiwoo's turn.

The match started, and Jiwoo was already out of sight, punching Sucheon. He defended himself quite well, and they both leaped away from each other. Then, he started sinking to the ground. Suddenly, he was shot way up into the air, and slammed back down on the ground. It was all she could do to hold herself back and keep a neutral expression plastered on her face.

He floated up again, but then was throw to the side of the gym wall. Her fists clenched to her sides, her finger nails dug into the skin enough to draw blood. Then, Sucheon punched him. And again, and again. She steeled herself.

"The winner is going to be Jiwoo." She whispered to the two standing next to her.

"How can you know? He's getting destroyed out there!" The blonde said. "Why can't he give up?"

"Because Jiwoo has something he doesn't."

"Friends?" Wooin asked.

"No. Well, yes, but more so he's way more mature and in control of his powers and mind then Sucheon could ever hope to achieve."

And just like that, Jiwoo was out of his control. He raised his arms, ready to fight.

"It's like his strategy is to get beat up in every match." She noted.

"Jiwoo. That's enough. You can give up now." Mr. Jang said. Silence echoed the gym. She almost laughed. Give up? That wasn't a sentence in Jiwoo's vocabulary.

"No. I can...do it." He softly said.

She must admit, he did look quite concerned, and expressed it quite clearly.

"Mr. Jang, your student wishes to continue. Don't be like that." First of all, she would like to admit she had no idea what that guys name was, and second she wanted to say she hated him for those two sentences alone. He would therefore be known as 'Mr. Bitch' until she decided to learn his name.

Sucheons abilities shot through the floor, cracking it. Jiwoo dodged easily, running to him. He jumped back, due to the spread of power. It spread further, forcing him to push back. In just as quickly as it happened, it was over. Jiwoo managed to punch right through Sucheons power and knock him out.

"Amazing." She breathed. She had been forced to activate her own awakened ability to speed up her eyes, but she had seen the move. And the electricity with it. She smirked and nodded, allowing Wooin to catch Jiwoo.

"Maybe we should get him to the infirmary." She glossed over Mr. Jangs small speech with a nod. Such a eventful day, certainly one to remember for a while.

A couple of days later, Jiwoo was being tested for his animal communication. And of course she was going to watch the bullshit he was going to come up with. But not before scratching Kaydens ears in front of the other teachers, and finding the look on Inhyuks face to be hilarious.

After watching Kayden be a complete asshole for several tests, and Mr. Bitch state that he was probably lying about the powers, and volunteering to fight Kayden, it was time for the combat.

And he got his shit rocked.

When Jisuk sent a text to the groupchat, that he immediately deleted, she knew something was up. And to learn it was about a girl who had a secret crush on Jiwoo? To good. She told him not to make fun of her, especially when she herself felt the beginnings of her own crush form.

On Inhyuk Goo.

Right!? How could anyone, in their right mind, somehow gain on crush on the chaperone of their little brothers best friend? It was like dating your best friends ex!

Which was why she was going to push it far down and ignore it until the small thing withered and died. But how could she? He was just so nice to Jiwoo and his cats, she felt as if half of the relationship was already there. Someone who liked Jiwoo, his friends, and strange habits? It felt to good to be true. It probably was.

Cho was having a good day. Key word: Was. Because now the Elder of Baekdu showed up, it was officially ruined. She was just sitting in her room, doing a little speed reading because she didn't need to use her powers at any other time, when she had been interrupted by a strong sense of power. She knew whos it was, obviously, she had a couple of...run ins with Baekdu back in the day.

And maybe it ended with her insulting his mother but you couldn't prove that-

Anyways, haha, she abandoned her room after a hour of staking out in a quick attempt to get the fuck to either Subins, Jisuks, Wooins, or Jiwoos. It started out well, until she rounded by Mr. Bitchs room and someone was tossed out like trash. They made eye contact, and she felt like a idiot for not seeing it. The cocky attitude, the way he held himself.

She was staring down Sucheon in the hallway, and from the injuries to his face and the way he trembled, along with the shouting that was now coming from the room she pieced together the last couple of minutes. And he looked so downcast that she had to do something, seeing a child injured was just something she couldn't handle.

Her heels clicked and clacked as she approached, which made the poor boy look up quickly. Instead of just brushing by, instead of a pitiful expression, she kept her eyes soft and mouth drawn into the tiniest of smiles.

"You're bleeding. Come back to my room, let me help you." She whispered.

"I'm fine, I just bumped into a cabinet." He angrily muttered.

"I didn't realize cabinets could talk." Theres a brief moment of silence. "Look, I understand this whole pride thing you've got going for you. I'm sure this is humiliating. Mortifying. But right now all I see is a scared kid, trembling at the thought of doing something wrong. Let me just help you clean up, and then I'll forget it ever happened."

He nodded. He nodded and followed her back to her room, where she kicked off her heels and led him to the bathroom.

"This might sting." She warned, blotting his face. His eyes fluttered closed, and his brows furrowed. She finished, dabbing a bit of ointment onto the cuts and sticking some bandaids ontop of it. "All finished!"

"Thank you." He muttered. She nodded, smiling. They walked back to the door. He opened it to leave before she said one last thing.

"Sucheon? Remember, family doesn't define who we are or what we will be. The scars of your past don't determine your path in the future." He stood still for a second before nodding and walking away, leaving her alone in her room once again.
