Hungry

I threw the layers of blankets off me and reluctantly crawled out of bed, out of the warmth. Too bad, I just had to work longer today. After washing up, I grabbed a bottle of banana milk from the fridge and sat down in front of my laptop, switching it on and getting to work.

I have to get some ideas for the new part of my webtoon, then transform it into a sketch in my sketchbook. Then I have to draw it with the laptop. A long process. You could tell me to just draw in the laptop straightaway, but I prefer it like this. Pre-sketches serve as a draft for me to edit anything easily later on.

"Oh, what--" I was reading through a random section of an online book to generate ideas when I felt a chin rest on my right shoulder.

"I'm hungry." He said.

"So? There's food in the fridge. Go get it yourself, I'm not your mom." I waved him away.

Tae Oh disappeared into the kitchen, and came back later on with my assorted cookie box in hand. He sat down beside me and started chomping down one cookie after another. I only continued with my work.

"Oh." I heard Tae Oh sigh, then the sound of the cap closing over a container.

"Please don't tell me you finished it." I turned to face him, to be greeted by his smiley, trying-to-be-innocent face and an empty cookie box.

"What? No! You're buying me another one! Those cookies were my favourite!"

"Why would you let me eat it then?" He retorted.

"I was just being nice since you're a guest, you should count yourself lucky I didn't snatch it out of your hands immediately and shove your face into the floor."

Tae Oh raised his eyebrow. "I doubt you really are that strong. If I can carry you, then it wouldn't work."

I smirked. "Try it then. I bet you would fail terribly."

"That's what you said." Tae Oh stood up and brushed any crumbs off his shirt and pants, then wore his jacket and shoes.

"Where are you going?"

"Where are we going." He corrected. "I don't know, but just to prove I'm stronger than you. Dress up, we're going out." He threw me my coat and stepped out, and I scrambled into it and quickly rushed out after him after putting on my shoes.

He went down the stone steps and walked a distance down the long path outside my house, and stopped. I ran up to him and halted, slightly out of breath.

"This is a good place to start." He stated.

"What?"

He didn't answer, and before I could react, I was lifted off my feet and laid on his back, my head wedged between his neck and shoulder.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!! Put me down!!!" I waved my legs frantically since I had to he was holding me there and I had to use my hands to grip onto him and not fall off.

"Keep quiet and see how long I can go like this! I will show you I'm stronger! Tsch." Tae Oh grabbed my legs and held them against his thighs, then started walking off to god knows where.

I struggled and whined for the first few minutes, but gave up after realising there's no way I'm going to be able to escape this and just gave in.

"Where are we going?" I asked again.

"Um, well, where do you want to go?"

"Let's go shopping."

"Again? You sure have alot of money to throw around."

"Or get some early lunch."

"Where? Myeongdong? The street vendors don't come out till it's dark."

"We're in Japan, genius. Myeongdong is thousands of miles away." I used a finger and shoved his head.

"Ow......" He glanced down at his hands which were still holding my legs. "Rub it for me, please?"

"No." I poked him in the same place.

"You--" He purposely jumped, causing me to slide up his back, and down again, hitting something hard.

"......" I kept my mouth shut, silently massaging the aching area, my fade unconsciously burrowing into his shoulder more.

"So, since we're in Japan, where do we go?" He asked, as if nothing ever happened.

I took a bit more time for myself, then slapped his shoulder. "Go to Shibuya."

"Where? How?"

"Just follow my instructions as we go. Now, move."

About half an hour later, we arrived at Tokyo's Shibuya, and Tae Oh almost, almost, threw me onto the ground when we arrived.

"Tired?" I stretched, mocking him.

"Eh, what? Of course not. I'm still full of energy, I just.....um, thought you should move, exercise a little, you know?"

"Psh, whatever." I said, and moved off into the crowd of people.

"Wait up! Don't get lost." Tae Oh followed closely behind, and I went around the street stalls to check out their food.

"Ooh, Dango!" I weaved over to the old lady poking sticks through the dumplings, and ordered two sticks. Tae Oh arrived beside me and I passed him one.

"What's this? Dumplings? What's inside? Kebab?"

"What's kebab?"

"Ah, nevermind, you wouldn't know."He said, and took a bite out of one of the dumplings. He chewed on it.

"Oh? It tastes pretty good!" He continued munching.

"Come on, don't just eat this, there's lots more food around."

I dragged him over to a Takoyaki stall. I bought two small bowls and shoved one into Tae Oh's hands.

"Here. This one has octopus."

"Octopus?" He looked at me, horrified.

"What? Don't tell me you never ate live octopus back home."

"Never."

"......just eat it. It's cooked."

"Fine." He said and warily bit into one.

"How is it?"

He squirmed, and I thought he must have tasted the octopus.

"It's okay, but......I don't think I can take the octopus."

"It isn't that bad!"

He shook his head and pushed the rest of his Takoyaki to me. I sighed, and quickly ate all of it to clear my hands.

We continued walking along the street, and in the end, just got some bento and sat down in a nearby park to eat.

A/N: this doesn't sound like a proper ending, but it's where my ideas end for now. XD
Sorry for taking so long! I had been very busy and finally found time to update! I hope you enjoyed it!
