Ji Ul's POV

"Living with you is boring." Tae Oh commented as we strolled back home. "There's nothing good to do."

"Find something to do then. What do you want anyway?" I grumbled.

"Something other than sleeping and eating. I feel like a pig."

"Then go exercise."

"Too cold."

"You will get warmer when you exercise." I pointed out.

Tae Oh groaned. "My mind is bored, in other words I need to exercise my intellect."

"Find some mental challenges or something online..."

"You're using the laptop though."

"Don't you have a phone? I need my laptop for work."

"Nope, too expensive. Lend me your's."

I rolled my eyes. "Dream on, you ain't gonna lay a finger on my phone."

"Then I will either leave your house, do some stuff or die of absolute boredom."

"What stuff ?" I raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"That's for you to find out."

"Aren't you reformed?"

"I didn't necessarily refer to that."

"Ugh, fine, if you're so picky about what you do then I don't know how to help you." We reached my house and I unlocked the door, letting us into the comforting warmth.

Tae Oh seemed to space out for a moment, then suddenly leaped for the television remote control and switched on the TV.

With a few swift movements he was at the afternoon news channel, but he seemed discontent.

"Yah, does your TV show the Korean news?" He asked, eyebrows knitted tightly together.

"Yeah, channel 241, why?" I hung my winter coat on the rack and sat down beside Tae Oh on the couch.

He ignored me and flipped to channel 241. On it, the news anchor was announcing the headlines.

"Headline news. Just three hours ago, the police have uncovered a dead body of a man downstream of the Han River. It is believed that the man was murdered according to the injuries on his body. No clues suggesting the murderer's identity was found on site, and thus the police force are currently investigating the situation." The screen showed a few pictures of a man looking in his 30's. There were multiple lacerations and burn marks on his body, and I noticed that a few of his fingers were also missing.

"Eww, the murderer cut off his fingers?" I pretended to gag, looking away from the television screen.

"That's not uncommon, maybe the murderer held some kind of grudge against the victim." Tae Oh said, then grinned. "If another murder pops up within the span of a week, there's a high chance this is a serial killing, then I can finally put my genius to good use."

I glanced over at him. "Are you being serious?"

"Yeah. If another murder really happens, it would be interesting if I could get a closer look at the corpse."

"That's impossible, none of us are police officers, not even involved in the case, and no offence, but you aren't exactly welcomed by them." I grimaced.

"None taken, but let's just wait for another week at least till we talk about this again." He turned to me. "Do you need to use your laptop?"

"No, go on and use it if you want."
