“Oh you know, having fun,” it said as it raised its hand holding a fireball about to throw it directly to my father’s heart.

But before it could, I fought back and gained control, “Father, go get the crown mother mentioned if something ever goes wrong!” My mother was slaughtered by a vampire rouge while she was in a weak state which was a decade ago. My father went on rampage and killed every vampire he saw including the one that killed my mother. After that, we abandoned the kingdom of light that they ruled together for centuries since it always reminded father of mother.

He stood there hesitating on what he should do. After some seconds, he stood up from his throne grabbing the golden crown from under it and ran towards me. Before he could even take the black crown off my head, it took control again. It pushed my father with so much force, it knocked him unconscious.

It started walking towards the door on the way out of the castle, I fought for control and managed to slow it down. I fought with all the energy left in me and successfully gained control. I ran towards to where my father is and took the crown of his hand. I quickly put it on top of the crown I’m wearing just like what my mother told me. Both crowns started glowing brighter and brighter.

After what felt like a year, the crowns stopped glowing. As I walked to the mirror that is behind the throne, I felt a tingling sensation and then stopped when near the mirror.

Looking at my reflection, I changed a lot. My once dark and light aura became a golden aura emitting  a powerful feeling. My hair became silver but my eyes stayed the same. I felt a lot more powerful than before.

“Hue?” a hoarse voice croaked. “Is that you?”

Turning around, I saw my father standing behind me,“Yes father.”

“I’m sorry for being selfish, I forced you into doing this. I didn’t think about what you wanted, I only thought about what I wanted.”

“Well what’s done is done,” I said surprised to hear my father apologizing for the first time in my life.
Suddenly, a giant cage appeared at the center of the throne room with my friends in it. They all look so weak and about to pass out.

I can hear their faint heartbeats, I gasped, “Oh no, Father! Get them out now!”

He did as he was told and got them out immediately. I ran towards them and transported us back to the mortal world that the humans call Earth with my father following behind.

When we arrived on the agency’s island that we work for, they started gasping for air and panting heavily as if they just ran a marathon without stopping.

When they all calmed down, father cleared his throat making us look at him.

“I’m s-uh,” he stopped while scratching his neck awkwardly. “I’m sorry for putting you all in danger.”
My friends looked at him and glared.

“Danger?! That was a matter of life and death! Heck, I heard that no mortal beings ever survived even a night!" exclaimed Marvyn.

"I'm sorry," my father said sincerely bowing his head in shame which seriously surprised me. The Great King of Darkness said sorry for the 2nd time and bowed his head in shame.

Marvyn and the others looked at me in surprise then back to my father.

After an awkward silence, Jhirgo spoke, "Oh um, I guess it okay, just dont do it again. Right guys?"
"Yes," Jus and Marvyn said in unison while slowly nodding  their heads not sure what they should do.
My father lifted his head with a grin so big it made my own cheeks ache.

"Oh wow, I never thought I'd see my father smile again," I thought happily as a smile of my own slowly crept into my lips.

While watching them start a conversation with each other, Shiro tugged on my pants and offered me a Pocky which I don’t know where he got it from. As I was about to take the biscuit from Shiro’s hands, a sudden wave of dizziness caught me off guard making me fall to the ground while hitting my head hard on the pavement.

Dream:

Opening my eyes, I see many colorful flowers around me.

“Hue..” a familiar angelic voice suddenly said.

“Who’s there?”

“Hue,” the same voice repeated.

“M-Mother?”

“Hue, turn around,” I did what the voice said.

When I turned around, I saw my mother looking beautiful as ever. She looks like a goddess with her platinum blonde hair, hazel brown eyes, and flawless skin. I don’t look anything like my mom. I mostly got my looks from my father.

I smiled widely as tears start to well up in my eyes threatening to spill out. I ran over to her and crashed her with one of my hugs.

“Oh how I missed you, mother.”

“I missed you too but we don’t have much time before you wake up,” she said urgently.

“What do you mean?”

“No time to explain, Hue, you’re now the queen of the darkness and the light. Which means you have to balance them. I believe in you, Hue. I love you and your father with all my heart,” she sid as she starts to fade.

I woke up and felt like I was hit by a 10 wheeler truck.

Feeling a movement to my side I grabbed whatever it is making it squirm out of my grasp and to my feet. Then I realized it was just Shiro.
