Hue Fallen

Chapter 1

I jumped from tree to tree through the forest until I reached my destination. My next mission is to eliminate the mastermind behind all the deaths of the  kids around the U.S. According to the reports, the kids went missing then their parents find them in their doorstep after 1 week of being missing with their stomach opened up and a missing heart.

As I reached my destination, I’m surprised to see a huge modern looking mansion with vibrant flowers around the house and it looks like it could go up to the sky. I was expecting the secret hide out to be an abandoned warehouse like how most criminals would use but I guess this one have a different plan.

I quietly sneaked in the mansion using the front door, but of course not before checking if anyone’s around. I looked around and made my way around the huge mansion that seemed like the inside is bigger than the outside. There are a lot of portraits of a little girl  with brunette hair and striking blue eyes around. The little girl’s probably important to the one that owns this place.

I came to a halt when I heard screaming coming from the metal steel door ahead of me. I ran and opened the door just enough to be able to see what’s going on. On the other side of the door are people in goggles and masks about to cut open a child’s stomach in a bed strapped on with belts. But before they could even lay a finger on him, I’m in front of them in a protective stance with the child behind me.

“W-who are you?!” asked the one with blonde hair.

“It’s none of your business. What do you think you were about to do to this poor child?” I snapped back.

“It’s none of your business,” said the one with brunette hair repeating my remark earlier.

“Okay then, be that way,” I said slowly as I undid the belts and signaled the child to run.

“What do y- what are you doing?! Get back he-” yelled the one with brunette hair but before he could finish, I did a roundhouse kick towards his head successfully knocking him out. I sensed a movement behind me so I turned around dodging the bullet that was about to hit me.

“Oh my. What were you thinking? You could’ve killed me,” I taunted with a shocked face.

“That’s what I was going for!” he yelled as he held the gun with shaky hands while pulling the trigger but before he could, I ran full speed towards him and kicked his arm knocking the gun out of his grasp. I immediately held him in a headlock.

“Where’s your boss?” I asked in a deadly voice that could make anyone cower in fear.

“On t-the t-top fl-floor, he’s i-in a r-room at the end of the h-hallway,” he stuttered. I dragged him towards the bed and strapped him in the same way they did to the child and left ignoring the insults the man is yelling.

I went upstairs towards the double french doors at the end of the hallway. Along the way, there are more portraits of the little girl that I saw downstairs. When I reached the door, I noticed that it was left ajar. I peeked in and saw a man reading a book to a girl who lays on a bed with an oxygen mask covering her face.

I waited for the man to come out and when he did, I pulled him in a room that was behind me.

“Who are you?!” asked the man.

“Seriously? You asked the same question Blondie asked me earlier," I told him, "but thats not important, are you the one behind all the deaths of the children around US?" I asked but he only stood there staring into space.

And suddenly..
