Chapter 7

I woke up and see that Tum is still sleeping beside me. I took a chance to take a shower before waking him up.

It seems that Gabe and the others start their duty so early.

As the water flows on my body, I mark on my mind that I won't take any ownership of.  Just seeing him happy is already enough.

Right after I shower I wore my clothes and dry my hair with a towel. I go out of the bathroom and saw that Tum still asleep.

I tap him "hey, woke up or I'll kick your ass off my bed" he moaned as a response

"I'm not kidding," I said with a mischievous smile on my lips and kick him gently enough to shake him up

"5 minutes." Wow. 5 minutes my ass

I kick him hard that made him fell off my bed. And throw a towel to him before he says something

"Oww. What's that for?" He whines while rubbing his butt

"Go take a shower, you'll miss out on the first meal," I told him with a plain look on my face while drying my hair.

"Geez, why do you have to be rough?" He complains as he walks to the bathroom while carrying the towel and rubbing his butt

Once he entered the bathroom I decide to go to the resort's restaurant to grab something to eat

We've been training for hours, everyone is full of sands on our wet body except Senior Alex since he's the one who's monitoring us to make sure all of us is doing the training. Well, Tum is didn't get wet from the saltwater but sweat since I didn't allow him to swim with the team on the beach. After few more minutes, he decided to let us rest before dinner.

While sitting on the shore Tum runs toward me and jump a hug on me. Laughing childishly. I look at him to see him smiling so I flick my finger on his forehead.

"Ow!" He whines while rubbing his forehead.

"What's gotten into you to decide to follow me here?" I ask him while looking at him.

He seats properly beside me and holds my arm.

"You never spend time with me. I even go to the student lounge of your department." He said as he pouts.

"Oh. I thought you go there to flirt." I tease him.

"Hey!! Though I flirt you're still my best friend you have to spend time with me and I spend time with you." He argues while still holding my arm like a child.

"But I never break my promise." I utter

"Come on, you will because you're here while I'm all alone in the capital being lonely." He whines once again.

I laughed at his statement. "You? Lonely? Don't kid me. And I was going just going to be late a bit. I know that those days are the times you need me the most." I reason out and rubs my hand on his hair.

"Really?" He still doubting me as he moves my arm closer to him. I tried to move my arm away but he's tightening it.

"Scumbag what do you think you're doing? are you being like this to your girls?" I complain while trying to get my arm back.

He pouts at me trying to be cute which is effective but I won't let myself defeated by it "No, I'm only like his to you. And those girls are the ones who like to be with me." He said that made my eyebrow raise

What a full confidence

"Geez, are you a gecko?" I tease him

Suddenly, Tum's facial expression becomes serious but I can see through his eyes that have sadness in them.

"What if one day you got fed up with me?" He asked with a worried tone and I can feel that he's scared.

I look into his eyes and say.

"Yeah, I might get fed up with you but I would never leave you. I always live up to my promises. I would always be there for you at your worst times all you need to do is call me or look for me and I'll be there to give you comfort." I know he might puke at what I said but I'm serious. Whatever he'll do to me I don't care I won't leave him.

"Who is your top priority?" He asked with curiosity.

"You. Tum."

He smiles at me after he heard what I said: "me too, whatever will happen in future I will never leave you nor give up."

He's still the Tum I know. I'm happy to know. I will take care and protect you, Tum.

I look up to the sky to hide stop the tears that are going to fall.

"Let me borrow your lap." Without waiting for my permission he rests his on my lap as if it's a soft pillow.

I shook my head and laid my back on the shore and rest my eyes for a bit.

I didn't realize that I fall asleep already.

The voice of one of my teammates woke me up by calling us for dinner.

I sit and look at the face of Tum looking peaceful. Though I don't want to disturb his sleep I have to wake him up so he won't able to skip a meal.

I let Tum go first since I receive a call from one of my fellow workmates.

"Taht, What is it?"

"Eros, We need to send intel for the investigation of a murder case in ******* to avoid malicious scheme."

I sighed. It's probably one of the VIPs

"Send someone from peach's unit and I'll tell neo to help them out from the distance." And I hang up

Throughout the training, we keep up this kind of set-up well except for me receiving calls from work. Tim still clingy but it's just his usual clingy attitude to me.

I won't deny, this training made me so happy and at the same time strong for Tum and the competition.

How I wish one day I can see happiness in his eyes.

It's better this way, no one should know about my other life beneath this identity that I created to be my cover-up so I can able to live a normal life especially Tum.

This already started from the talk about the division of the family business. Mom was so against it because it's too dangerous for us. But she can't do anything about it since all of us four siblings agreed.
