Milan pov:

Tokyo couldn't own up to her own mistakes, that was clear.

I could already see the plan derailing, all because that hothead couldn't follow a simple instruction.

I didn't see where Denver had stormed off to, I was too busy staring at Rio, panic once again taking over.

"You know what you should have done back there? Stick to the fucking plan god dammit! We've been over it 400 million times!"

"Didn't we agree? We weren't gonna shoot anyone?" I questioned, deciding to ignore my panic and focus on my anger .

I know, coping mechanisms at its finest.

"I blacked out from the impact, I -"

"I don't care!" I jumped, wondering where Denver had suddenly appeared from. Was I that much in shock that I couldn't even be aware of my surroundings anymore? Fuck. I blame Tokyo.

We froze.

Berlin, with his weird psychopathic and oddly gothic aura stepped into the room.

"Have you connected the phones yet Rio?"

One by one, we handed in our ear pieces.

"Shut off all wireless and radio signals... we're switching to analog."

Berlin threw the earpieces into the fish tank; poor fish were probably gonna die from radiation poisoning or something. I wondered if I could throw Tokyo in there too? Would probably fix a lot of problems for us.

"Call the Professor", I vaguely hear in the background, to in my own head to pay attention once again.

Next thing I know, Berlin is outing Tokyo and Rio's relationship.

I knew it would come out eventually, consequences were inevitable and there was no such thing as secrets in these small gang we had formed.

I felt sorry for Rio but my compassion disappeared when Tokyo was finally made to own up to her poor choices.

"... The last thing i'd do is get involved with some kid. I fired to protect myself and my partner." Tokyo was standing now, raising her voice at the camera, lying about her and Rio's relationship even though we all knew something was going on between them.

Or at least I knew, which is all that really matters.

Rio's faced dropped. He half-heartedly expected Tokyo to tell the truth, proving that she cared for him as he did her. He knew that it jeopardised the mission and yet, he did not care.

Tokyo fled the room, slamming the phone down, inevitable silencing the professor with her immaturity.

Denver and Nairobi ran after her, Berlin in tow.

I sat next to Rio, cupping his face and turning him to me.

"Don't look so upset, you know relationships are against the rules, Tokyo was trying to protect you.

"I know, I just feel like she doesn't truly care about us the same way that I do." Rio's eyes were tearing up. I knew that he always tried to appear strong, but we were all under a lot of pressure and it seems like it was now starting to affect him in the worst way.

" Don't forget about Tahiti okay?"

A small smile graced Rio's face, no doubt imagining his life with Tokyo after this shit-show was over.

"You're right, fuck, you're always right,Star"

Star.

A nickname he had given me after finding me staring up into a blank sky and complaining that I wasn't able to see my favourite constellations.

"When this is all over I'll buy you one of those stars; you know, like how you can just get them online these days. Then you will never be without it, and even when the sky is dark you'll know that your star is looking down on you."

I rolled my eyes at the nickname every time, acting as though it held no meaning and was stupid. But in truth, the last person to give me a nickname was my mother, so Star meant the world to me.

Not that I'd ever tell Rio that, or anyone for that matter.

He got up to leave but not before placing a soft kiss on my forehead.

I look down at the table, pretending to analyse the equipment while he left the room.

He has Tokyo

I had to remind myself. He'd been infatuated with her since Day 1.

Once again, using my exceptional coping skills, I stomped those thoughts out.

Rio was my friend, and he shall stay that way.

I left the room after accepting my fate, blissfully unaware that the Professor had watched Rio and I's entire interaction; speculations and plans slowly starting to form.

HELLO!!

Yes, I know it has been 2 years.

Am I definitely gonna finish this story? I don't know.

I read the story again and also saw new comments that I had not seen before and got inspired to write.

I haven't watched Money Heist since the last time I wrote, and I also haven't watched the rest of the series.

I'm kinda just making the story my own as I really want to see Rio and Milan's relationship progress.

I hate writing slow burns but my plans for the story have not changed.

Also, I stared writing in first person on accident so now this will be told in first person and thirst person.

Thank you so much for your comments, they are the reason I chose to continue this so please comment your thoughts or any ideas you have, it is very much appreciated.

I will hopefully post again soon, probably depending on if people want this story to continue or not.

Thanks again!!!
