Lucy and I were sat on the window seat looking out, glumly, at the wet scenery before us.
"'Gastrovascular.' Come on, Peter. Gastrovascular." I hear Susan say behind me. I look back at the rest watching as George and Edmund carve something into a chair.
" Is it Latin?" Peter replies, bored.
"Yes."
Edmund and George come out from under the chair. "Is it Latin for 'worst game ever invented'?"
I stifle a laugh before speaking up, "No, it is actually latin for serving of the digestion as a cavity." Getting up from my seat, I make my way to the group.
"We could play hide-and-seek!" Lucy buts in.
Peter makes a pained face. "But we're already having so much fun."
Lucy leans against the armchair he was sitting on and gives him puppy eyes. "Come on Peter, please! Pretty please"
Peter caves to his sister's pleads. "One, two, three, four...."
"What?!" Edmund and George protest.
Alice grabs Lucy and runs away from the drawing room.
"....five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven..."
The song 'Oh Johnny, Oh Johnny, Oh' starts to play as they run and hide.
Lucy and Alice go to hide behind a curtain but Edmund runs to and pushes them out.
Alice glares at the boy before running with Lucy into a hallway of doors. Lucy tries the first door but it was locked.
"Come on Luc. This one." Alice says opening the next door.
The pair rush inside. As Alice closes the door, Lucy turns around to see a sheet-covered object at the very back of the room.
Lucy taps Alice's arm, getting her attention as they make their way to the object. When the reach they share a curious look before Alice pulls of the dusty sheet, revealing a wardrobe.
Lucy opens the door, letting Alice and herself hide in there with the door open of course.
