Evie's P.O.V:
Calam helps me into the car, sitting on my right, Michael's on my left and Luke and Ashton are behind us. US.

There's a comfortable silence around us, the boys seem in their own thoughts. Or maybe on their phones? I suddenly feel something buzz next to my right thigh and soon after I can see a flash of white light, I assume Calam got a notification, yeah that makes sense. A sense of pride fills me, I saw that! Should I have? Probably not, it's personal, right? But I couldn't read it. I must look like an idiot, I saw light that's all, I try to fix my face, it must have a strange look on it.

Michael nudges me, "what are you thinking about?" I look over at him, "nothing, sorry," I rush. The driver suddenly breaks hard, as he grumbles profanities, Ashton asks if everyone's okay, I am, yeah, so why is my heart beating out of my ribs. I try to take a slow deep breath, come on, in and out, yes? Suddenly, there's a hand on my shoulder, I would have jumped out of the car, if it wasn't for the seat belt.

The seat belt, exactly, see safe and sound.

Michael's P.O.V:
I'm ripped away from my thoughts as I almost fling forward, I look around me, everyone seems okay. "You alright, Mikey?" Ashton says he's always so calm and collected. "Yeah," I say, turning to face Evie as Ashton calls out to her, her face is drained of any colour, she's holding her breath, Ashton puts his hand on her shoulder, when she almost jumps out of the car.

Ashton quickly retreats, looking over, he seems pained. He looks at his hand, Luke rubs he's back and whispers something.

"Evie," I call, hoping to get the girls' attention. Her head snaps, almost painfully, towards me. "It's okay, you're safe," I tried to calm her. I don't know what's wrong, so how do I help? She nods, takes a deep breath, "I'm okay, I'm sorry," she turn to Ashton, "I'm sorry for my behaviour, I-" Ashton cuts her off, "you didn't do anything wrong, Evie, you were scared, it's okay, we all were." A soothing calm settles and is broken by Luke, "ready to go?" I completely forgot, we were going shopping.

I look over to Evie, "ready?" I ask, she nods and I help her out. She seems to be regaining some colour, hopefully the "fresh air" is helping. I hand Evie her cane, which opens in a flick of her thin wrist.

"Where to first," the boys all look from me to Evie as we cover our heads with a hood and wear sunglasses, "Evie where'd you like to go? Anywhere in particular?" Luke asks, "what a big word," Ashton says, mockingly, Luke simply ignores him and looks at Evie, who shrugs, "I've never been," I stare at her, "huh?" Falls from my agape mouth. She nods.

Evie's P.O.V:
The cool air hitting my face helps a great deal. The boys seem to have taken a back that I've never been shopping, I've barely been allowed outside. Michael seems the most shocked but I don't really want to explain MY life to them.

Michael holds out his arm and I take it being ever so carefully not to be any more annoying. I flick my cane open, after being certain none of the boys are ahead of its path. I know he's probably able to guide me, but I don't want to face a door or greet the floor. And there's something comforting about the cane, it's a long stick that comes up to my chest and I'm 5"9 {A/N- I wish}, it's a weapon in good hands. I, inwardly, smile at the thought.

Ashton's P.O.V:
I followed behind Micheal and Evie. Evie's "short" legs can keep up with Mikey's strides without breaking a sweat. {A/N- I know the boys aren't much taller but in this, (my version) they're a foot taller the real life}. However, she is gripping the handle extremely tightly, her knuckles are pale as snow! Her wrist must be strained. If the cane is to connect with something, at the speed we're walking at, all that force and pressure is going up her wrist and arm. At that moment, the cane connects with a metal lamp post, the ringing can be heard for miles. We all wince, it's painful loud, Evie seems unfazed, as if she didn't even notice.

As the ringing in my ear stops we arrive at the mall, the automatic doors open and we're greeted by the cooling A/C. I let out a soft sigh, facing the boy's, Michael wants to go Hot Topic, Luke wants to go Toys 'R' Us and Calam wants to go to Target. We decide to go to the closest first and make our way around and stop at any stores that may interest Evie. So, first up Hot Topic.

Evie seems to have slowed as soon as we enter, Calam disappears instantly whilst Mikey is babbling describing everything he can. I can barely hear my own thoughts as I wonder if Evie can hear Mikey. Calam comes back with a pretty skater dress and the music turns down.

Calam's P.O.V:
We walk into Hot Topic, I go straight to the register to ask for the music to be lowered, Evie relies on sounds and you can't hear anything in here. As I'm walking back I see a pretty dress. It instantly makes me think of Evie, so I grab it hoping she likes it.

I walk back, easily spotting Mikey. Ashton smiles looking at the dress, glad he approves. I see Mikey with a ton of clothes, as Evie stands awkwardly. I make my way up to her, "hay, Evie," I say when I get close. "Do you like purple?" She nods. "Do you like dresses?" Again she nods. "Here," I hand her the dress, "I think you'd look amazing in this, would you like to try it?" She looks up, towards me. "I'd love to try it on," I led her to the changing room and waited just outside.

A middle-aged woman comes over, "sir, you can't be here," I turn my head slightly, just to be polite. "Why's that, Ma'am?" I ask, trying to keep calm, I'm not good at confrontation. "You can only stand here if you are waiting for your child, you are not even old enough! That and it's immature for a child to be out of school, shopping!" She scoffed at me. Just as I went to respond, Evie came out. "Wow," I was speechless.

"I'm sorry, I'll change," she rushes out, I gently take hold of her hands, "Evie, you look absolutely stunning don't worry," I look down to see that she's paired it with come purple converse, "the shoes look good too, but maybe black or purple leg...

She looks at me, "w-what colour are the-ay?" She stutters out, "they're red but they have a white sheen," I say. "Ooooh," she shakes her head, "I thought they were silver," she flattens her skirt.

"Why don't you take a whirl?" I completely forget the women as I hear the boys approach and tell Evie she looks awesome, as she shys away, the rude woman says, loudly, "what are you wearing?! Are you blind or something? That's not-'' Evie looks right at her, closes the curtain and emerges with her cane, changed. "As a matter of fact, Ma'am, I am blind, but you see, that's got nothing to do with you, nor is it what I choose to wear." Evie then walks off, as we all look at her spot in complete disbelief.

A/N: here's another update! I hope you like it. Seeing this Evie, what do you think?
