Evie's P.O.V:
After Ashton pays, he leads us out, Luke reappears. "Where to next," Luke asks. "Toys 'R' Us," Ashton mumbles. Luke laughs as his footsteps speed up. Seems like he's excited. I look around, there are so many lights and colours, I try to focus on them instead of my thoughts, they're buzzing around like busy bees. 

Luke squeals as we enter a store, I giggle, he's so cute! I wonder what got him excited?

Ashton P.O.V:
Evie seems more distinct if that's even possible. Did the lady get to her? I doubt it, she seemed okay at Forever 21, it started at the till. I'll have to ask when we get home. 

I look over to see Luke has run off, I have no clue where to, I turn to Evie. "Is there anything you want?" She shakes her head, "no, thank you." I nod, maybe toys aren't her thing? Maybe we can get a bike! We all have one, we can get a 2 seater so she can just ride and not have to worry. As I go to explain my thoughts, Mikey runs up to us. "Hay," he breaths out, he's out of breath, "do you like stuffies, Evie?" Evie looks at him, straight in the eyes, "what are they?" My mouth drops, every child has one right? Mikey hands her the stuffed Koala, she holds it gingerly, "oooh," realization crosses over, "it's a teddy!" Mikey nods, "yes, it's a stuffed animal, well koala," that makes sense. She beams down at it, "it's cute!" She goes to hand it to Mike, he shakes his head, "noooo, it's yours, Evie," Evie holds it close with wide eyes, "are you sure? I don't share," I snort and Mike laughs, "it's okay," we say in unison. 

Calam appears with a bag, I raise my eyebrow, he shakes his head with a smile. "Evie," she looks towards me, "have you ridden a bike?" She looks confused for a second, "I have, not very well," we all look at her, "did you enjoy it?" Calam chimes. She nods, "it's fast!" Michael claps his hand and Evie flinches, taking a step back. "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm just super happy we love riding bikes," Michael rushes. Evie nods. 

"There are a few two-seater bikes in store, what do you think?" I say, trying to stop a rambling Mike. The boys all nod, whilst Evie looks ecstatic! I laughed, "I think there's a purple and black one," Luke says, from behind. "It's cool," he adds, walking next to Evie. "Is it not too girly," she asked, "it may be to some, but I love purple too," Evie nods. 

We arrive at the till as the boys pay, I take Evie outside, "would you like some ice cream?" I ask, she looks at me wearily and crosses her legs. I'm so confused, what happened to this sweet little girl? "What's your favourite flavour?" She relaxes, slightly, "vanilla," she almost whispers, "same," I whisper too, causing her to let out an adorable giggle. I cooed at her while walking to the ice cream store and ordered two small vanilla ice creams. I hand her one as I pay and lead her to an empty table. She sits with a sigh.

"Thank you," she says, "your welcome," I responded, watching her take a lick as joy filled her face. I would feel like a perv, but that's my child, mine. I can feel proud that I can make her feel safe and happy. As I watch the pure joy radiate from her I can't help the smile that grows on my face. All I want to do is to stop time and stay right here.

Suddenly, I hear a throat being cleared, I move the bags thinking someone's trying to get past. "Officer, that's one of the men," I hear an all too familiar voice, I ignore it, maybe she's on someone else?

I continue talking to Evie, when suddenly, there's a hand on my shoulder, I turn to see a police officer staring down at me, "Sir, there's been a report that you have been involved in a kidnapping," {A/N- shh, a child is sleeping... I'll go now} I look at Evie, she's biting her lip, looking down. "Officer, with all due respect, what?!" I exclaim, my tone getting slightly higher as I try to control it, I don't want to scare Evie. 

"Can I speak to the young lady, alone," Evie snaps her head up looking straight at me with pure fear behind her beautiful blue orbs. "officer I don't think that's appropriate, you should be talking to her with her legal guardian," Evie calms just a little as Micheal enters, "what's happening? Is Evie okay" he runs over.
