CHAPTER FOUR

I'm laying in bed looking at the wall waiting until I see light out the window before actually getting up. Today is my 19th birthday and I'm so excited I have everything planned out, but I'm going to need someone to help. I rolled over in bed and grabbed my phone off the desk I looked at the time it was now 5:30 am. I'm bored so I'm going to call Brandon and see if he's awake, it's a school day so he's probably getting ready to go to school. Not today I need him here, and I need him here now. I press his number, he picked up after the third ring.

"Hey Brandon what are you doing right now at this very moment. "

" I'm getting dressed I'll be over there in like 20 minutes.

" Yea well we're not going to school today sorry to mess up your very important plans."

" Oh really, and why is that you don't feel like getting out of bed again. "

" Haha no because I need you to help me setup for tonight's party."

" Umm Jade why are we having a party. "

"Umm Brandon it's Halloween."

"Oh a Halloween party that's cool be there in 20 minutes. "

" Yea whatever bye Brandon see you whenever you get here just let yourself in."

I clicked off the line before he could say anything else. I can't believe Brandon forgot about my birthday. I went up stairs and got in the shower, I let the warm water hit my body while washing away all the bullshit. When I was done with my shower I put on a pair of shorts and one of Brandon's oversized t-shirts he left over here, I tied my hair in a bun, and went downstairs without any makeup. When I got in the living room I hear Brandon outside getting out of his car, so I walked over opened the door and walked back to the living room I sat down on the couch and waited for him to come in. A few minutes later he comes through the door closing it behind him, he walks up behind and place something cold against my neck.

" Happy Birthday Jade. "

He put a necklace that says Love on me.

"Thank you Brandon it's beautiful. "

"No problem I thought you might like it. "

"I'll keep it forever and I really mean that. "

After it was on I turned around hugged him, then I walked in the kitchen and made him some pancakes, I got out a bag of hospital blood for me and put it in a glass so I wouldn't freak Brandon out to much. I walked back to the living room with his pancakes and my drink I sat down on the couch with him.

" Do you want to watch a movie since it's still early. "

" Yea that's fine."

I turned on the Netflix and we decided to watch the fault in our stars. It was my first time watching it but he said he watched it twice and it's a really good movie. Around the part when Gus tells Hazel that his cancer is back and it's worse I look over at Brandon who was already looking at me.

" Brandon why aren't you watching the movie. "

" I am I just wanted to see how your holding up. "

" Oh, well I'm fine. "

I smile at him and he smiles back and we turn back to the movie. As I watched this movie Gus dies and I'm in tears, but I'm trying not to let Brandon notice me crying so I put hand in front of my face and continue watching the movie. It's at the end of the movie and I crying uncontrollably everything I've been holding back all these years finally came out and it was bad. I turn to Brandon and he is crying but not as much as me he looks at me and pulls me into him.
