They had completed all the prayers and ceremonies for the well-being of Rani’s child and day by day, the family was being more and more overprotective of her. Rani is strictly told to always rest and she isn’t at all allowed to do any work.

Veer is super excited about all of this! He can’t wait to become a dad. Lately, Veer has been really busy back at the hospital, so he can’t always come home early. This is why he uses any of his free time to be with Rani and his whole family.

Rani loves how passionate Veer is acting. This is all she wanted in the past year. Rani always wished that their family would get back together and become happy again.

Every evening, Veer takes Rani for a walk. They always walk to a pretty garden and Veer talks to the baby about their future. They sit on a bench and wait for the sunset. Rani usually asks for Gol Guppe (Pani Puri), but Veer only agrees sometimes. Whenever it’s Veer’s lunch break or he gets a couple of minutes away from work, you would find him on a call with Rani.

When Veer comes home, he is devoted to Rani. He is either reading to the baby or with Rani reading blogs and books for mother and child care.

Some nights when Rani is craving some ‘chauchak’ food, he would go and make her Dal Chawal or Litti Chokha which are both of their special dishes.

Whenever Rani needs to take her vitamins and all of the prescribed medication, she becomes a fussy child.

Veer: Chalo Rani, davai ka time ho gaya hai.

Rani: Nahi chahiye! Ye davai bahut karvi taste karti hai! Chee!

Veer: Aacha Rani, meri ek baat suno. Ek din jab mein bahut chota tha, meri tabyiat bahut kharab ho gayi thi. Aur phir mujhe bhi aisi dawa nahi khani thi, phir Ramu Kaka ne mujhe samjhaya ke agar mein nahi khaya toh phir mein school nahi jaa sakhta tha. To main gussa ho gaya. Mujhe school pasand tha!

Rani started getting interested in his story.

Rani: Phir kaa hua? 

Veer: Phir mujhe dawa khaani pari. Aur mein jaldi se theek ho gaya aur mein phir se school gaya! Aise hi, agar aap dawa nahi khayi, toh phir hamare bache ka kya? Iss chotu ki sehat bahut zarorri hai na?

Rani nodded once she finally understood. The medicines weren’t only for her, but they were also keeping their baby safe and healthy. She finally agreed and took her pills. 

Veer has instructed Kumud to stay by Rani all the time when Veer isn’t around. She is one of the only servants that Veer truly trusts, especially now that he knows she is his mother. It is a little hard to accept the truth, but he has got to live with this fact. There really isn't much he can do anyways.

Veer had finally gotten Rani to take her night medications, with a small story of his childhood, and they both had finally fallen asleep. An hour later, Veer is shaken awake. He sees that Rani looks stressed so he immediately gets concerned. 

Veer: Rani, kya hua? Aap ko kuch chahiye? Pani? Koi khana? Aap ko bhook lagi hai kya?

Rani shakes her head saying no.

Veer: Toh phir kya hua? Rani please mujhe batao. Aap ko kya pain ho raha hai?

Rani: Nahi! Lekin mujhe bahut confusion ho raha hai!

Veer: Kiske liye? Rani aap confused kyu ho?

Rani: Mujhe bache ka naam nahi soojh raha hai. Agar ladki ho toh kya? Aur agar ladka hua toh kya?

Veer pats Rani on the forehead and smiles at her innocence. Here Veer was super stressed that something super wrong happened, but Rani is just tensed about such a small thing.

Veer: Arey Rani. Aap fikar mat karna. Aao hum saath soch lethe hai.

Veer takes Rani in his arms and plays with her hair to keep her calm. After some time, they are able to finalize 2 names for a boy and 2 names for a girl. Finally, Rani feels satisfied and she goes to sleep on Veer’s chest while Veer puts his arm around her waist to keep her secured. 

As Veer makes sure that Rani is completely asleep, he thanks God that he got Rani in his life. He knows that Rani is an awesome daughter, sister, wife, daughter-in-law and now Veer is sure that Rani will be an awesome mother, too.
