Theo's POV:
Today had been weird.

I was just watching TV and everything went to shit with Hayden and Liam. A part of me thinks it's my fault. Hayden hasn't liked me and never will but... why would me sitting there watching TV cause her to have a massive freak out?

I was laying next to a sleeping Liam. He looked so peaceful.

I hate that they got together. We still hang out a lot and Liam talks about her like she's just a burden but most of the time he never brings her up.

He shuts down any conversation about her when I ask, and I have no idea why.

Hayden isn't the best but he seems to be drawn to her. It's weird and I'll never understand it.

He acts like it's a sensitive topic between us. Like he's afraid something bad will happen if I say her name three times in a row.

They seemed okay most of the time... but I never really saw them. Ever.

I'm kind of happy about that. I hate seeing them together. It just reminds me of how pathetic I was to think me and Liam would ever have a chance.

I think hanging out with Kat has helped a lot though. She's like a best friend I didn't know I needed. Liam has really been my only friend but I'm also in love with him.

It's nice to have a best friend who is only that.

I think I'm going to go to her place tomorrow. I need to tell her about today.

The next morning:
I woke up with Liam pressed into my chest. He always looks so small like this. I love waking up like this, but if I don't move soon... it'll be a very awkward moment for us.

I slid out of the bed and got myself ready. I made breakfast making sure to leave some for Liam and leaving a note saying I was going to Kat's house.

I started my way there.

Liam's POV:
I woke up to a cold bed. I hated waking up like this. Theo is usually gone when I wake up.

I sat up and smelled something good coming from downstairs.

I made my way to the kitchen and saw some food on a plate with plastic wrap over it and a note.

"Had to head to Kat's for a bit. Be back soon. You better eat this or I swear to god! -T"

I let out a sigh. He's always with her. He said he didn't like her but I'm not so sure that that's true.

If he likes her, I can't complain. I'm with Hayden.

Ugh.

Hayden.

Suddenly, all the memories of last naught flooded my mind. Why was she even mad? Who knows.

The next thing I know....

Ding dong

I walk to the door. I pull the door open and...

Hayden.

"Liam. I am so so sorry about last night." She bombarded as soon as I saw her.

"Hayden, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I came to apologize. I owe you an apology. I think you owe me one too." She claimed.

"What?" I asked.

"Look, I just feel... like you don't really want to be around me. You always cancel on me for Theo. 'Theo this, Theo that. I get he's your best friend or something now, but you could at least make a little time for your girlfriend." She said with an eye role.

"Wow, some apology." I scoffed.

"You can't tell me I'm wrong." She said.

"If this is what you came here to tell me, then you can leave." I said.

I am not in the mood right now.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. Look, tonight there's a party at Nathan's place. I think we should go. I think we need a little breather. Just to let loose for a bit." She said grabbing my hand.

"Do I even have the option to say no?" I asked, annoyed.

"Nope!" She said with a cheeky smile.

I sighed.

"Pick me up at 8:00!" She yelled as she walked away.

I sighed as I shut the door. I slammed my forehead onto the door once it was closed.

God damnit!
