ISHA'S POV:

"What a huge misunderstanding this lead to. I need to find her quickly and tell her the truth." I spoke to myself while going to the library. I saw a crumbled paper on the way, I picked it up to throw, but I wanted to check whether it was anything important. I opened it and was happy to see it. It was a poem written by Tara. I knew her handwriting and I wanted to give it to her. Now I have another reason to look for her. But this poem was different from her other ones. It was sad. Maybe she wrote it because of her ex.

I was wandering around the library but couldn't find her. So I decided to go to her class. She might be there. On the way there, I met Aarav. "Found her?" I asked. He shook his head and left.

I wanted to call Sakshi, but stopped when I heard her voice from the class. She was talking to Tara. She was about to explain the scene that has happened before in the auditorium I guess. But Tara wasn't ready to listen to her. I was about to go in but stopped after what I heard:
"I don't wanna see what she is doing with that guy. The girl I love knelled in front of someone else and I am not ready to digest it yet. I love her and it's the fact. And I am again left alone. I guess that is it."

"She loves me? What? Why should this misunderstanding happen now? It shouldn't have happened. I hate that guy."  I mumbled to myself while going to the parking area. The college ended and I waited near her vehicle. She came and gave me a smile, I smiled back.

"Shall I drop you?" She asked.
"Yeah. If you aren't going anywhere else." I answered.
"Nah, Going home directly."

She started the vehicle and I sat behind. Even though I wanted to talk to her, I couldn't. I tried but it was a fail. I thought of ways I could tell her. I finally thought that I would tell her on the terrace tonight. We reached the apartment and while she was parking, I said "Come up at 7 today. I need to tell you something." I said. She smiled and nodded her head. She came by to drop me upstairs and went back to her house.

TARA'S POV:

I dropped her home and went home. I kept thinking whether she wanted to tell me about that guy and her. I was deciding whether to go or not. But, I wouldn't wanna disappoint her. I slept for a while because I didn't have anything else to do. It was 6 and I woke up and started listening songs. I wanted to speak about this with either Sakshi or Aarav. I called Sakshi but she didn't pick my calls nor did she answer my messages. I tried dialing to Aarav and he too didn't pick up. They both went to a movie I guess.

I went upstairs and waited for her. I plug in my earphones and listened to songs. After a few songs, she came. I couldn't hear her call out my name. She touched my shoulder and when I looked across, there she was making me fall for her with every breath she took. I removed the earplugs and smiled. She smiled back and sat beside.

It was all silence, but it broke when she started talking. When I carefully heard what it was about, I figured it was my poem. She had a crumbled up piece of paper and was reading from it. I was too shocked to even say anything. Out of all the people who could have picked it up, she did. ~Destiny~ My inner voice kept saying only one word 'Destiny'. I tried my best to push that word in the back of my brain.

"What was that?" I asked as soon as she finished reading.
"It is yours, you should know. Whom did you write it for?" She said.
"Umm... No one. Just got a thought to write. So I wrote." I replied not knowing what else to say.

After a moment of silence I asked "How did you know it was mine?"
"Your handwriting." She said looking deep into my eyes.
Before I fall for her even more, I looked away."You wanted to tell something. What is it?"
I questioned, still not looking at her.

A moment of hesitation later she started talking but was cut off by my ringtone.
I checked and it was Sakshi. I wanted to decline her call but Isha stopped me.

"Sakshi?" She asked and I gave her a nod.
"Answer it and keep it on speaker. If you don't mind." She said coming closer.
I picked her call. Kept it on speaker.

"Hello. Tara, Are you fine?" Sakshi practically shouted.
"Don't shout. I can clearly listen to you. I am fine. What about you?" I asked, so that Isha wouldn't feel as if there was something wrong with me.
"Okay. Listen you need to know something about Ish-" Isha cut her.
"Hey Sakshi. It's me, Isha." She said.
"Thank god. You are with her. Did you tell her about it?" Sakshi asked.
"I was about to, but you called. I will tell her to call you again, I need to get this over with." Isha said with a hint of disappointment.
"Oh Okay, Continue. All the best." Sakshi says and leaves me in confusion.

She hands me my phone and looks at me expecting something. My face still clueless.
"Continue." I said hesitantly.

She took a deep breath and exhaled closing her eyes. She looked at me as soon as she opened her eyes and held my hand. A quick shiver ran down my spine.
I tilted my head in confusion.

"I needed to talk about the scenes of auditorium. About me and the guy. It was actual-"
I cut her off. I didn't wanted to listen to it. "I know what had happened. I saw it with my own eyes."
After a second of me telling that she slapped my hand. I tilted my head again.
"Shut your mouth and listen to me before assuming things. Understood?" She shouted and all I could do was to give her a simple nod.

"He and I aren't a thing. It was a dare he had given to the girls in my class. I had to do it too. And I don't love him. I have my heart reserved for someone else." She said and left my hand.
"But I saw you both being close while coming out of the auditorium." I said with my eyebrows rising up.
"He happens to be a friend of my brother and he was apologizing for the dare. And I, in a friendly way said him not to do that again." She stated with hands crossed.

After a few minutes of me absorbing these facts, I asked her:
"Who is that one for whom you have your heart reserved?"

She didn't tell anything but handed me the piece of the crumbled paper. "What do I do with this?" I asked.
She got up from the place she was sitting and went a bit away from me.
"Sometimes, the end is the beginning." She said while going.

I got up too. Trying to figure out what that meant. After a few minutes of silenced thinking, I called out her name "Isha?"
"Hmm?"
"What does that have to do with the question I asked?"
"Think about it. It is all in your hands."
She giggled and turned to see the lights from the buildings around us.

I looked at my hands and then it clicked. "The paper." I shouted.
It was in my pocket and I opened it. It read:

IS THAT IT?
On a night like this, the only brightest one around was the moon, until I saw her'
Holding back her tears, sitting on an edge.
I wonder, who hurt her or are they the tears of happiness.
I wonder, whether to go close to her brightness and emerge in it.
But I stop in fear of separation.
I stop in fear of commitment.
I stop for I know I would hurt her.
I stop knowing that it is the end without any beginning.
For I saw her cry and don't want to be the reason behind it.

"This isn't my poem. I didn't write this. And this wasn't the one you read." I questioned her.
"Turn the page." She said.

When I did, I saw a word 'YOU!' at the end of the page.

"You?" I mumbled to myself and I understood what was going on.
