Chapter 14- Surprise

You anxiously waited for the conclusion of the party. But finally, it came, and Tadashi pulled you by the hand up to his bedroom.

"What do you need to tell me, Tadashi? I've been thinking about it for the last hour."

He grabbed both of your hands in his, and stared down into your (e/c) eyes.

"(Y/n), I love you so much. I remember the day of your accident like it was yesterday. Not only was it one of the weirdest days of my life, but one of the very best, because I had the honor of saving your life. When I did, I had no idea that we'd have so much in common. I always woke up for school, excited because I'd get to sit next to you in robotics. (Y/n), you are sweet, smart, beautiful, brave, and the only one I will ever love."

You could feel tears forming in your eyes as he said all these kind and loving things about you. Your eyes grew wide when he dug his hand in his pocket. Oh my god. You thought.

His hand came out of his pocket, grasping onto a small velvet box. He got down on one knee in front of you, and opened the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring.

"(Your full name), will you marry me?" He asked, smiling that contagious smile up at you.

Your hand went directly to cover your mouth to muffle your happy sobs. You nodded quickly.

"Yes! A million times, yes!" You cried, as he slid the ring onto your finger. He stood up and threw his arms around you, pulling you close. You felt his lips on top of yours.

A few minutes later, the two of you walked downstairs, and everyone stared at you. Your left hand was hidden behind your back. Suddenly, you raised it in the air, so all could see the sparkly diamond on your finger. Honey screamed. Your mom started sobbing.

"Wow, bro, you're the man!" Hiro exclaimed, sending everyone into a fit of laughter. Everyone surrounded you. The girls, Aunt Cass, and your parents begged to see the ring, while the boys clapped Tadashi on the back.

"Never thought you'd do it, Hamada!" Fred exclaimed.

"Congratulations, man!" Wasabi smiled.

"Hey, I guess there's room for another Hamada." Hiro said, hugging his big brother.

After receiving hugs from Honey, Go Go, your parents, and Aunt Cass, you were pulled over by the guys.

"(Y/n) you've grown up so fast!" Fred mock-sobbed. You laughed a bit.

Wasabi patted you on the back and congratulated you.

You hugged Hiro tightly. He was like your brother for so many years, and now he was going to be your brother.

"Welcome to the family, sis." Hiro said in mid hug. You squeezed him tighter in reply.

Finally, all the excitement died down, and everyone went home. Except for you. Tadashi insisted on you staying with him, and your parents couldn't have agreed more. Aunt Cass squeezed you, before the three of you ascended the stairs towards the Hamada bedroom.

Tadashi lent you one of t-shirts, which was a little bit too big on you. Within minutes, you heard Hiro's goodnight, followed by soft snores coming from the other side of the room shortly after.

You and Tadashi got into his bed, and he held you in his arms. You cuddled into his chest, savoring his warmth. He kissed your head, and a smile crept up on your face.

"Goodnight, (y/n), I love you." Tadashi whispered.

"Love you too." You replied, before falling into the clutches of deep, peaceful sleep.
