The Accident

Chapter 10- Baymax

You were busy designing the eco-friendly engine for your hoverboard, when Tadashi ran into your lab.

"(Y/n)! Come quick, I need to show you something!" You stood up, and as soon as you reached him, he grabbed your hand and pulled you out the door. As soon as you were in his lab, Tadashi handed you a green chip with a smiley face and his name on it.

"Can you do the honors? I think he's finally done. Put it in there." He pressed open the access port, and a slit popped out, just big enough to fit the chip. You pushed it in, and Tadashi threw an arm around you. The robot's eyes opened.

"Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion."

"It works." Tadashi whispered.

"It works?" You asked.

"It works!" Tadashi exclaimed in a happy panic.

"Oh my god! That's amazing!" You replied, as he pulled you into a tight squeeze.

"I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!" He did this weird but adorable victory dance that made you laugh.

"Okay, big moment here," he said, finally calm. "Scan me."

The white, fluffy robot looked Tadashi up and down, making a whirring noise.

"Scan complete. Your neurotransmitter levels are elevated. This indicates that you are happy."

"I am! I really am! Oh man, wait till my brother sees you. You're gonna help so many people, buddy, so many." He pulled you closer and kissed your cheek.

"That's all for now. I am satisfied with my care."

Baymax deflated back into his red suitcase. Tadashi squeezed you in a hug.

"I'm glad you were here to see Baymax finally working."

"Me too. He's awesome. Can't say the same about my hoverboard though." You looked down a little.

"Hey," he tried to get your attention by pushing your face upward with his index. "I'm not giving up on you. Your hoverboard's gonna be fantastic, okay? Just like you."

"Thanks."

"Anytime, (y/n). You better tell me as soon as that thing is done, alright?"

"Of course! You'll be the first to know."

"Good." He replied, before leaning in and placing a sweet kiss on your lips. You pulled back from it slowly, and you both were grinning from ear to ear.
