The Accident

Chapter 3- Recovering

After Tadashi left that night, you didn't expect him to return. But he did. In fact, he came to see you in your hospital room every day. He claimed that it was "the right thing to do", but you thought it was something more. You had to spend about a week in the hospital so all of your injuries could heal properly. School had already started, so he brought you your schedule and homework. Turns out, you had a ton of your classes with Tadashi. A few days before you were released from the hospital, Tadashi brought your homework like every other day, and he sat next to you and helped you. To your shock, you actually started to enjoy doing your homework, but found that it was because of him. You began to grow very fond of him, and soon you realized that you had a crush on him. But did he like you back?

Finally, Saturday came, and the time came for you to leave the hospital. But you needed a little help, since you were still disabled. Tadashi was there immediately, ready to help you out of bed for the first time since being hospitalized.

Tadashi held onto your arms, stabilizing you as you wobbled. He ever so slowly let go, to see if you could walk on your own, but you immediately tipped over again, falling helplessly into his arms.

"Whoa! Are you okay?" He asked, a little worry in his voice.

"Yeah...I don't think I'm gonna be able to-" You started, but he smiled, and cut you off.

"Hey," his brown eyes bore holes into your (e/c) ones. "I'm not giving up on you. Got it?"

You nodded, mentally screaming at your legs to get their shit together. (Note: Yes, TFIOS reference! haha!) After a few long minutes, you were walking again.

"See? I told you! You can do anything, (y/n)!" He exclaimed happily.

"Uh, I don't know about anything...."

Tadashi drove you home from the hospital an hour later, after the doctor saw you walking like nothing ever happened. He walked you to the door of your house, and your parents were ecstatic to see you walking again. They thanked Tadashi for volunteering to bring you home. Right before he walked away, he pecked your cheek, leaving you red faced.
