Piper's POV

I had just finished my geography class with Hazel, and we'd parted ways. It was good, I guess, but geography isn't really my favorite. Now, I had history with Nico and Annabeth. I met up with Annabeth on the way.

'Hey, what class did you have?' I asked her.

'English. Before class started, this girl came in and started flirting with Percy, and she got detention, but luckily Paul was our teacher so Percy and I got lucky.' she explained. 'We're doing Julius Caesar. Kinda boring, I've already done an analysis on it long ago. Oh, and Leo made a copper helicopter in the middle of class. I thought he was busted, but I guess Paul decided to cut us some slack.'

'Interesting. Hazel and I had geography. It was pretty boring, we're learning about volcanic formations... Not really my thing, though.' I said. Annabeth nodded, and we reached the classroom. Inside, a man in his early fifties sat at the teacher's desk. He had salt and pepper hair, and glasses. He wore a white button shirt and some dress pants with polished brown shoes.

'Where's Nico?' Annabeth asked, scanning the room.

'Hmm, not sure. he'll come, don't worry.' I reassured her.

We sat next to each other, and I set my bag down. To my right, a weird guy kept stealing glances at me, which made me uncomfortable. I ignored it, and the teacher got up and started speaking.

'Good morning, students, my name is Vincent Hunding, and-' He was interrupted by Nico, bursting through the door, panting. His sword was in its sheath on his waist now, it was tucked in his backpack before.

'Sorry, There was a- um, a dog was chasing me. Sorry.' Nico lied. It was probably a monster, and I wanted to ask him about it, but he made his way to the back of the class and slumped in an empty seat.

Okay. Back to the topic, I was saying you may call me Mr. Hunding. I am your history teacher for the year, and we will start with introductions!' He announced. Nothing like than an old school teacher who acts like the students are all in sixth grade. I hoped nobody would recognize me as Tristan Mclean the movie star's daughter.

'Okay, let's start with Miss Annabeth Chase!' He said, looking at a clipboard. Annabeth stood, and said,

'Um, hi, I'm Annabeth Chase, and I'm new here. My, uh, favorite subjects are math and debate, and I aspire to be an architect when I grow up, like- like my mother.'

'Wonderful, Miss Chase. Could you talk a bit about your parents?'

'My dad is Fredrick Chase, and he's a professor, and my mom... I- I didn't really know my mom. I just knew she was an amazing architect.' Annabeth said. Of course, she couldn't say, Oh, my mom is the Greek goddess Athena! She's the goddess of arts, crafts, wisdom, and battle strategy!

'Okay. Thank you, Miss Chase. Next!' It was a blur of people talking about their parents, their hobbies, their likes, or their dislikes. Then came Nico.

'Uh, I'm Nico di Angelo, and I um, just joined this school. I like to... Listen to music, and... I'd rather not talk about my parents.' Nico said. It would've been hard, talking about his family. His mother had died, killed by Zeus, and later, his sister died, too. And, of course, his dad was Hades, and now the only proper family he had was Hazel, his half-sister.

'Next, Piper Mclean!' When Mr. Hunding said my name, a couple gasps floated around. One person said,

'Mclean, like that cute movie star, Tristan Mclean?'  Someone asked. I ignored it and continued.
