I wish you were there for me instead,
He didn't say you were dead,
But its like you were;
As I grew I could only observe you with your new families, and their children,
While I sat there alone in my room,
He tried to be my father figure,
Tried to fix the so called damage you left me,
When he was in fact my damage,
I spent these years alone,
The men and boyfriends who tried to replace you caused more damage than what I could handle,
If only you were there for me.
