CHAPTER 5 !
third person pov
"guys, guys is that them?" kiara asks, panicking
"is that them?" kiara asks again
"john b, i told you" jj groans
"jj! hey look at me!" john b says to jj.
"wheres the gun?" john b asks. jj mumbles a few incoherent things, while john b groans.
"the one time we ever need a gun!" kiara groans
"they're on the front porch" jj whispers. the two intruders were screaming and smaashing items in the chateau
"we gotta leave" kiara says, stressed
'"the window!" care exclaims. jj and pope rushed to the window, trying to open it
"come on guys, whats taking so long!" care asked
"its painted shut,okay?" jj whispers. john b stands against the door, clearly overwhelmed. the handle on the door starts to rattle, scaring care. the door starts to open, causing john b to pull care away.
kiara and jj finally pop the window open, and start hoisting themselves out, while kiara grabs care and pulls her out. the teens run to the chicken coop, and hide in it. the 2 men exit john b's house, carrying a bunch of boxes of paperwork to their truck.
the rooster started crowing, bringing attention to the chicken coop. care watches as one of the men starts to walk towards the coop. kiara interlaces her fingers with care, as both girls were frightened.
"do something!" pope whispers harshly, pointing at the rooster.
jj grabs the chicken, strangling it, causing kiara to loudly gasp. care brought kiara into her chest, trying to calm kiara down. john b watches as the two men leave his house, allowing the teens to crawl out of the coop, care still holding kiara
"i have to go, before sarah starts to suspect anything" care says, while kissing kiara on the forehead
"stay safe" kiara yells, as care gets into her car, and starts to drive off
"you cant tell me you two arent macking" jj mutters, rolling his eyes playfully
