7. Your pain is my pain

Ranvijay's point of view

After Rudra left my house, I left for my suite. I had made up my mind, this is the last day ever that Rudra had to suffer the pain. Next time I will never let her go through any pain or problem.

And I went to bed. And now slowly sleep came to me. Next morning came very early. Today also Rakshu urged to come with me to school to meet Rudra. Maasa couldn't deny her. When we reached the school gate I saw Rudra standing out there, waiting for me. I hurriedly got out of the car and started running to her. Why is Rudra standing there ? She has got hurt. Right now I am angry at her carelessness. She shouldn't be exerting herself. When I reached her, she just dazzled her smile at me. And now my anger was no where to be found. I asked her, "why are you standing here? You could have hurt yourself again." Himmat kaka who was standing there silently, holding Rudra's school bag spoke, "Kawar sa, I tried every thing to convince princess. But she was so firm that she will enter the school gate only with you. She even refused to sit in car till you arrive."

"I am standing here because I was waiting for you. And if I were seated in car, and you didn't find me at the gate, that would have made you sad right? I don't want my bestfriend to be sad." She said this with her chin held up high. She cares for me. This thought made me smile, and my restlessness was soothed.

She further continued, "And We agreed that we will wait for each other. And best friends never break promises. Remember?" That made me realize this stubborn girl is so true to her words. Mean while Rakshu also came to us. And the chit chat they shared was a delightful experience as always.
We waved back at the car , when Rakshu left with Raghu kaka. Soon himmat kaka was about to take Rudra's school bag from car, to carry her bag till class for her. I stopped him insisting that I will carry her bag instead. When we reached class, I saw two royal bodyguards were standing. I think its uncle Ratan, who ordered his bodyguards to be around Rudra. Anyways now I am there. I will be there to protect Rudra in the first place. The bodyguards bowed down to Rudra and me as we entered.

Once I made sure Rudra is comfortably seated on our seat, I turned my gaze to all the class. I wanted to make sure, no one comes near my Rudra to hurt her. I knew babasa and uncle Ratan had already made sure that school takes strict action against Santosh and his friends. But still I can't trust anyone else now, when Rudra's safety is at concern, can I?

"Sit down. And stop staring people with that frown on your face. With this angry face of yours, You might really scare them!" Came the royal order of my princess. It was then, I became aware that I was looking hell angry. But I can't help. One of our classmates hurt my Rudra once. I cant take any other chance. But seeing no threat, I sat down besides her.

She leaned back to rest her back on back support, and she winced. And instinctively I moved my hand behind her shoulder to hold her, so that her wound won't hurt. Seeing her in pain, was breaking me from inside. She looked at me. Maybe she noticed my distress on my face and smiled at me. She was hurt but here she was smiling for me... Her smile is something for sure. It always makes me forget what I was thinking. It makes me forget my sorrows. I helped her get her books out of her bag. And the regular classes started. And here my Rudra was all back in her stature. She is always focused when in class. Seeing her old self I also turned my face towards the board.
